The staff at the Hertz branch at Zurich Airport were super friendly. Although they didn’t provide the car we reserved, the first car they gave us was too small to fit our luggage. So we paid an extra 100 Swiss francs to switch to a larger one.
The X1 I rented didn’t come with a spare tire or a temporary parking warning sign. Aren’t these standard? Asking was useless as they simply don’t provide them.
Quick pick-up and return, charged a pre-authorization of 199 CHF, and an additional 99 CHF for an extra driver. The second day of renting, driving from Zurich to Milan, my luggage was stolen from the trunk. Overall experience was bad, especially since I had locked the car, but the items were still stolen without breaking the windows. Very puzzled.
