Forced selling! First, they tried to sell me insurance. I told them I had already purchased full coverage in China, and then they tried to upsell me to upgrade the car class. I said there were only two of us, and a Malibu was more than sufficient. Then, they tried to sell me towing insurance. I said my full coverage already included it, but they insisted it didn't. I showed them my insurance paperwork, and they blatantly lied, saying it wasn't covered. Finally, they tried to sell me a full tank of gas, asking me to return the car empty. I declined, saying I preferred the full-to-full fuel policy. The salesperson immediately became rude, laughed loudly without any manners, and even complained to colleagues and other customers. Well, let them laugh! In any case, they failed to get their way. I just want to tell everyone: don't go for cheap options, and never rent from Hertz again! I won't either—I'd rather choose Alamo, even if it's more expensive.
Overall, it's great. The highlight is that you can choose your own car. All the cars of the same type have their trunks open and keys inside the car—just pick one and drive off.
