When I needed help booking the Interislander Ferry the staff were excellent. Ellie in Wellington especially so.

Upon initial booking I required to speak to a person. Found it disconcerting to speak to someone in Hong Kong when talking about New Zealand. They were not aware of the geography - places, areas etc. Wish I'd realise I was booking through an agent.

Not bad.

The staff at the rental company were very polite and proactively explained various important matters. The vehicle had high mileage, and there were occasional unexplained alerts from the car's computer. It would be better if the car condition is checked in advance by the rental company.

There were few people when picking up the car, which was okay. However, when returning the car, we waited in line for an hour and a half. The kids were crying and there was nothing we could do. It was a bad experience.
