Attente improbable au guichet, on essai de nous revendre une assurance alors qu'elle est deja prise sur le site, un scandal pour 160 euros de location avec assurance, on m'a demandé 95 euros en plus ou emprunte sur la CB pour la franchise.
Over 40 minute wait to be seen at the counter.
Aggressive selling techniques even after explaining I had already brought insurance. Wanted to charge me a extra €200 for their insurance. Scare tactics when I refused.
Car was cleaned on the outside. Filthy windows. Nobody to check the car over with.
1,5 hours waiting to get the car at Bordeaux airport. No childseet was provided, allthough I booked it in advance. At dropping off the car, there was no inspection. Still after 3 hours I received an email to pay 260 Eur due to scratch on the car. That damage I did not do, this is unacceptable and I will take legal action.
Waited nearly 2 hrs at pick up desk then had a very unhelpful member of staff at the outside desk where you pick up car keys the lady handing out keys through them at me and couldn’t tell me where car was will not be using ace again
I was concerned upon arrrival and seeing Ace was at the same doubter as goldcar with just a tiny A4 sign as I had read so many poor reviews of glodcar, this meat I left with the hire car with some concerns regards what would happen when I returned it! The guy on the vonnter was very polite and did not push any additional insurances as I had expected, we had no issues with the car and return was smooth. I would just recommend that Ace distance themselves from the negative glodcar reputation if possible.

The staff at the Rhodium ick up desk were very eager to sell the extra insurance even though I stated I had extra cover and therefore was not interested so pick up was long.
Returning the car was not a pleasant experience and as a customer you were made to feel that you had to pass some kind of test during vehicle inspection I would not recommend it
Car rental collection system appalling, completely ridiculous ticket system to wait your turn which was similar to playing the lottery. We waited well over an hour to collect the car but only by trading up our ticket number, we spoke to someone who'd waited 5 hours! Didn't appreciate the threats made in order to get us to buy the extra insurance for £200 which would ensure we could rely on help should we have the misfortune of being involved in an accident. Instead we were left worried for the whole week that we would be abandoned should the worst happen. We'd purchased excess cover insurance beforehand but were told that was no use! The car was not clean on the outside and in order to check the car properly we had to scrape off bird poo to check for damage, which included a windscreen chip which hadn't been noted already. Didn't think much to the car either, given it's supposed to take 5 people plus suitcases, a 1.2litre car to me is unsuitable. It struggled with motorway speed and felt like it had done 100,000 miles not 5000 as the clock said. All in all not an enjoyable start to a holiday!

No problems with easy cars, simple to book. Only suggestion would be to avoid selling ace/goldcar rentals on the site!
Online this company seemed the cheapest but I could only pay a £17 holding deposit for the car. When I completed the booking in Bordeaux the actual cost was equivalent to the other hire companies. The staff were nice & the pick up was in terminal and the car was clean and new.

The wait on arrival was excessive, I don't expect to wait over 90 mins in a queue for a pre-booked car. The woman at the drop off was rude and unhelpful when I asked about the excess I had but on my card. ACE would not accept American express for the final payment or the excess ( I had a separate insurance for this) and I had to put it on my debit card which cost me money and I have to wait 8 days to get it back but that was difficult to find out as they told me it would be sorted out when I returned and then they were rude at the drop off when I asked about it and I had to go back into the terminal desk. There was a queue and I had to get a flight but the girl just said I had to wait till they pay it back.
Waited for a long time because the car was not on the system at the desk despite me having an email confirmation. Not even sure who the car was supplied by - Rhodium, Ace or Gold Cars? Waited for an hour for this to be rectified with a preganant girlfriend. Lady at the pick up desk was rude and unhelpful, I was told I was 'lucky you dont have to wait longer'. Aggressive attempts to sell insurance add ons. Eventually collected the car which was dented, scratched and dirty inside and out. Was told 'you are lucky its scratched because then its less likely you'll be charged for scratches that you cant even see when you bring it back'! In summary, a poor start to our holiday. Won't be using again.
Checking in a nightmare. Nearly two hours queuing at Bordeaux airport to do check in. Irate customers ended up in aggressive altercation with one of the desk staff, police were called to calm everything down.
Our check in lady apologised and was helpful, but overall a ridiculous length of time to pick up a car.
Dropping off was easier and customer service pleasant and efficient.
The wait to pick up the car was rediculously long, especially in a warm airport with 2 young children. Counter staff were quite rude and once we realised car was far too small, we weren't able to upgrade. Wait for return was also quite lengthy.

Car was fine, but staff tried to overcharge on collection and were extremely unhelpful on return refusing to simply sign a note saying all ok having inspected vehicle and agreeing that there was no damage
