“The vehicle provided at the counter was smaller than the vehicle rented at the website.”
About Alamo:2.0/10
I payed for a Toyota RAV4 or similar, but I was given a Nissan Kicks, wich in my opinion is much smaller.
The Alamo counter staff said they were the same category and they dont even work with Toyota, so I had to keep the Nissan Kicks!
I feel like I was cheated somehow. I payed more for less afterall.
The car was quite new. The rental machine was a bit tricky to use for the first time, but fortunately, the service staff helped out. We didn't get the Jeep we wanted, but were given a different car instead.
“Great value and service and a great car to experience America in, made our holiday perfect”
About Alamo:9.7/10
We had an upgrade which was excellent but the inside was dirty from the previous customers, trunk was covered in wood chipping. Only mentioning this because you have asked. Would definitely recommend you to family and friends.

About Alamo:10.0/10
The front desk staff were friendly, but they still recommended insurance and an extra tank of gas, claiming their gas was cheaper. However, we politely declined. It turned out that refueling on our own was more suitable. Can't comment on the insurance since we didn't use it. Perhaps the rental company's insurance might be more convenient for claims compared to domestic platforms.
Efficient and fuss-free pick-up process with self-check in machine, avoiding any upsell of additional services. Drop-off was also quick and easy. Large selection of cars to choose from.
I’m a long haul pilot and rent cars around the world. It’s very typical to be hit with extras, premiums etc but not here. Brilliant service, thank you.
No issues with our Nissan Rogue - car was clean and spacious. The check-in process was fine, however the service staff was a bit pushy with the upsell of insurance and car upgrade.
