CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON DOLLAR IN VANCOUVER

Had to wait in line for a long time and then waited another hour after completing the paperwork to get the car, supposedly because they were washing it. We originally rented a Highlander but were given a front-wheel-drive GMC instead. The power was weak and the car was heavy. The Rockies require snow tires from October 1st, and we rented the car on the 28th without any warning from the rental company. As a result, we got stuck in Banff for a long time due to heavy snow and slipping while going uphill.

Average, had to wait a bit long during return.

Like: Booked from Australia and picked up in Canada - able to drive in USA and back into Canada!

I booked a Highlander but received a Dodge. We were a family of four going skiing with lots of luggage. The Dodge trunk was too cramped and very uncomfortable. The child safety seat was too low quality. Everything else was okay.

An established American car rental company with terrible service. They push insurance to every customer, making me wait over an hour. I've rented cars over 50 times, and had great experiences with Hertz and Alamo.

Short queue time, very friendly staff at the counter, no hard sell on insurance.

The car is too small , so the counter staff up sale us a bigger car but charge more

Picking up the car at Vancouver Airport is a trap. There’s an additional C$165.5 airport pickup fee, and various extra insurances. I rented the car for three weeks, and adding one more driver cost another C$324. These fees are not disclosed when booking online. It's really a rip-off. I already paid over C$8,000 in China, and had to pay another C$6,000 in Vancouver. There were no discounts at all! Poor experience.

Like: The employee was friendly. He also helped us in the facilitation of picking up the rental car.
Dislike: The person in front of us took a while to decide. It would have been better if those who had confirmation letters be in one line while those who had none would be in another.

The service is extremely poor. Extra charges were added without any notice. Currently, Zuzuche is coordinating but it's been almost a month with no resolution.

It took an hour to complete the rental procedures, even though it was with a chain of three companies.

Emergency call hotline cannot help promptly and directly. Can be improve service when accidents happen. e.g can change the car at anywhere and no need back to the airport.

The actual rental cost was significantly higher than the online booking cost.

The car model provided was different and much smaller than what I booked, so we had to pay extra to get a larger car. The process of exchanging the car took a lot of time, which was very wasteful.

Even though I already purchased the full insurance package, the staff still tried to sell additional insurance.
