Renting a car in Thailand is a convenient process, and the inspection at the time of rental is very detailed, noting even minor scratches.

Local Thai company, the car had a THAI RENT A CAR logo. I was stopped by the police once for a check, but there was no trouble. The staff were very friendly.

The car was relatively new, a Corolla with less than 8000 kilometers. When returning the car, I parked it in their lot myself, without any staff guidance. The return process was smooth, mainly checking the fuel tank and some parts for any collisions. The surprise was that the staff member asked where I was going, and since I was staying near the airport, he voluntarily drove me to the hotel. Of course, the $20 tip was given willingly from my side.

Excellent service. They have a counter inside the airport and you can pick up your car directly at the airport parking lot, which is very convenient. The best part is that since it's a local company, you can pick up the car even at midnight or early morning, which other international brands can't offer.

When returning the car, you can't enter through the exit door; the security personnel will guide you to a small pathway for the return process. During the vehicle inspection, all visible minor damages are noted, and during the return, the staff just does a quick check. I offered a tip when picking up the car, but the staff politely refused. Due to the narrow lanes in the parking lot and my lack of experience with right-hand driving, I requested the staff to move the car to a wider road, and they were very helpful. I initially booked a TOYOTA VIOS but later found out it had been upgraded to a Toyota Altis, which was fairly new though previously a bit damaged. We chose Toyota because it was pricier, but we had a lot of luggage. If the luggage amount is known, a smaller car like a Nissan could work. I was very satisfied with Thai Rent A Car, even booking another car with them in Chiang Mai during our Phuket trip. I will choose this company again on future trips to Thailand.

Very satisfied with the car rental service. At the airport counter, we handed over the documents and they took us to the parking lot to pick up the car. Before taking the car, we checked for any scratches on the exterior, and their staff proactively marked them on the form and reminded us to return the car with a full tank. They also marked a 24-hour gas station on the map for us. When returning the car, we were worried about the early time (5:30 AM) causing delays, but as soon as we parked, a THAI representative arrived by car. The entire process of vehicle inspection and checkout took no more than 15 minutes.
