Counter staff in San Diego were unable to help with permit for driving in Canada. This was later resolved at Eugene Airport branch within 10 minutes after customer support from QEEQ

The service was fine and the efficiency was okay. However, Avis has a problem with arbitrary charges. The reason for the charge and the explanation afterwards were different. Once the money is deducted, you are at their mercy.

The staff entered the wrong license plate number three times! Very poor work attitude! Our car didn't have enough space, and when we asked to upgrade, they refused to give us the car we needed! The upgrade price was extremely high! No explanation was given, it felt like a forced sale! Terrible service!

The waiting time was acceptable, but the staff kept trying to upsell other models. Even after I clearly stated I didn't want to incur additional costs, they ended up giving me a Subaru (there were multiple Chevrolets in the lot). The staff couldn't explain why they gave me a Subaru when Chevrolets were available.

I picked up the car on the evening of 9/19 at the San Diego airport location. The customer service representative, a South American woman with long fake eyelashes, forcibly sold me insurance. I said I didn't need it, but it still showed up on the bill. I was just focused on signing and didn't carefully check the details on the screen. Later, I never received any contract, not even by email! Next time, I will thoroughly review the contract before signing! If there were any recordings at the site, I would definitely file a complaint!

The reception service was very slow because the elderly staff kept chatting with my friend, taking half an hour to complete the process. Upstairs, it took quite some time to find someone for the car keys. Returning the car was much quicker, just a quick scan and we were done. However, I discovered later that an unexplained charge of over $250 had been made!

Went to rent a car at 7 AM, very few people, no need to queue.

AVIS service was decent

We booked a gasoline car but were given an electric car, a Ford Mustang Mach-E. We were told that for cars under two years old, charging is free. We thought we'd give it a try. The car was new, with just over 1000 kilometers on it. Charging had its challenges; without a U.S. phone number and Apple ID, we couldn't download the charging app. Some fast-charging stations accept credit cards, with a $50 pre-authorization each time. Even a week later, we haven't seen the actual charges, so there are four $50 authorizations, with actual charging costs varying from $20 to $30 each time. Charging did bring some hassle; we had to wait about 30 minutes to an hour each time, and some charging stations require the app to use, making finding a charging station a concern during our trip. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and we made it to our return destination. In San Diego, we received a 'head-in only' parking ticket, which was missed in our research on car rentals in the U.S., so we remind everyone to watch for head-in parking requirements. Fines for parking violations must be paid as instructed. We followed the appeal instructions but received no response. Contacting the car rental customer service about the charging fees wasn't helpful; we had to contact the charging stations' service numbers ourselves.

Very satisfied, the car was in excellent condition.

Renting a car is quite easy. Just prepare the necessary documents and it takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. When signing the contract, check if there are any extra fees and inform the staff to cancel unnecessary items.

Rude person at the counter with no reason. Disappointed:(

Had intermitent fault with 1st car. Caled Avis and returned it for an exchange which was quick with no issues.
