Des voleurs ! Attention à bien faire l'état des lieux au départ et à la restitution (ils rechignent à le faire)... Résultat : ils facturent des frais de carrosserie conséquents.
Aujourd'hui, je leur demande d'envoyer les photos correspondant au sinistre... Ils m'envoient les photos du pare-choc arrière alors qu'ils me facturent la portière arrière droite (qui était intacte !). Bref, il vaut mieux payer un peu plus cher avec des gens honnêtes. Un conseil, fuyez Goldcar !
Viel zu lange Wartezeiten bei der Abholung (2,5 Stunden). Dazu müsste ich auch noch zusätzliche Kosten begleichen, da mein Vater das Auto mit seiner Kreditkarte gebucht hatte und ich als Fahrerin eingetragen war.
Auf Grund der Wartezeiten bei der Abholung (bei anderen Kunden mehr als 5 Stunden) würde ich hier meinen Mietwagen hier nicht mehr holen !!!
Ansonsten war alles im Ordnung, Rückgabe und Shuttle zum Flughafen gingen problemlos.

It was the worst rental car experience ever. We waited more than two hours to get to the counter and this was after we paid an extra $18 euro to get moved higher in the line. Everyone was annoyed, upset and it was awful.

They have charged me an insurance protection without ever telling me what it was!!! She told me there would be a £70 fuel deposit, took my card and charged me €310 without ever saying what it was! Complete rip off company, will never use Goldcar again.

On nous a demandé de juste laisser la voiture au retour , sans contrôle, ni rien. Donc il faudrait qu'il y est un vrai check out pour confirmer que la voiture était bien intacte et que la caution soit rendue car justement la voiture était en parfait état

Mauvaise surprise lors de la réception de la voiture, leur logiciel ne peut pas bloquer de caution sur ma Carte Visa et ils disent que ça vient de ma carte hors j ai déjà bloqué des cautions dessus sans soucis.
Si ma femme n'était pas la je n'aurai rien lâché car la seule alternative est de payé l'assurance à 85 euros...

A very excessive wait to pick up the car despite having pre-booked it, around an hour and a half in total.
Counter staff not apologetic about this at all, and kept wandering off with no explanation, both between customers and even while they were in the middle of serving me.
I ended up paying 4 times as much as the original booking fee due to very well hidden small print and the counter staff not explaining the insurance process clearly in order to get me to pay extra. They make it sound like they will take over £1000 from you and won't return it for up to 60 days unless you pay £30. They pretty much don't give you any option except to pay the £30. I don't have much experience with hiring cars and despite trying to hold my ground I felt pushed into paying the extra.

The booking process itself was very easy but the fuel 'full to empty' policy was not made clear at all and ended up costing me more money that I originally paid for the car hire. Be careful about which fuel policy you use if you aren't used to booking hire cars like me. Take your time to read the small print.
Nous avons récupéré une Citroën C3 quasi neuve. Etant donné l'attente au guichet, le monde présent et probablement une pénurie de personnel, nous avons du faire, seuls, l'état des lieux de la voiture. Nous n'avons rien remarqué de particulier mais nous sommes inexpérimentés en la matière.
Le séjour s'est déroulé sans encombre.
Au retour, le réceptionniste nous signale deux ou trois griffes sur le côté droit du parechoc arrière.
Il établit aussitôt un document qu'il nous fait signer en nous l'expliquant en espagnol, langue que nous ne connaissons absolument pas, devant notre incompréhension manifeste, il s'essaie à l'anglais mais nous n'avons compris que par bribes que c'était pour l'assurance.
Résultat: une facture de 360€ dont 60€ de frais de dossier
Lorsque nous sommes allé contesté auprès de la responsable du site, elle nous a déclaré toujours en anglais mais sur un tempo qui nous a permis de comprendre que la voiture était neuve et que de toute façon nous avions signé le document…
Nous hésiterons à l'avenir de louer par un site internet dont les prestations ne nous alertent pas sur ce genre d'aléas, quite à passer par une compagnie française qui dispose d'agences à l'étranger. Le prix d'annonce est attractif mais en définitive nous avons eu l'impression d'être des gogos et des vaches à lait.
De plus nous n'avons pas de certitude que les griffes n'étaient pas déjà présentes au départ puisqu'il n'y a eu aucun constat contradictoire.
I was delivered to the OK pick up office by the shuttle bus and that worked well. However, when I arrived at the office it looked like a refugee camp. There were people everywhere waiting to pick up their cars. OK operate a ticket system and having taken my ticket I had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes before I was called forward. Once at the desk the process was smooth enough, although the staff member tried to terrify me into buying every conceivable extra insurance. The car had only done 9500km odd but every panel was damaged or marked in some way so I took great care in marking up the sheet of existing damage. Drop off was a breeze and I had no issue re the existing damage. That said, if there is a next time, given the state of the car I would recommend taking a video of the car at pick up, making sure the phone records the GPS and time of the film so as to have some proper evidence in the event of an issue arising later.
I was 1 mile from the airport and intended to fill up the gasoline but the car's engine malfunctioned and became very dangerous so I could no longer drive the vehicle. It was not safe for me to proceed with filling up the gasoline tank. The issue was that the engine began to rev up at an accelerated rate of 5 on the tachometer despite my foot was on the break and the vehicle was at a stop. I had no other choice but to put the car into park, pull up the emergency break and turn the vehicle off to avoid throttling into oncoming traffic. Even with the car in ‘park’ the engine was still revving to a 5. As you can see, this car was not safe to drive. I was terrified and almost lost my life had the cur lurched again as it was trying to do, myself and others would have surely been dead. I was infront of Lidos Cuidad Jardin and left the car in the parking lot. It was not safe to operate further. Therefore I was not able to get gasoline and instead had to call a taxi to the airport. This was not only a terrifying experience but highly inconvenient for me to have to call a taxi on a busy road with all of my luggage because the car I rented and trusted would get me back to the airport safely instead malfunctioned and almost cost me my life. I’m disappointed to see I was charged $105 for gas after all of the trouble you caused me and ruined the end of my vacation by putting me in great danger. I would like refund for 1) the $105 for gasoline because it was impossible for me to refuel give the vehicle’s faulty condition and 2) the entire cost of my rental for this inconvenience and trauma you have caused me at the end of my vacation $363.26 ($292.68 + $70.58). Lastly, please get this car fixed before putting other customers lives in danger – this car is not safe.
They push you into buying their own insurance or fast track even if you have super insurance which includes excess fee for the vehicle. The company pushes you to buy either their insurance or pay the entire excess deposit in advance. To avoid large excess being charged poor customers have to buy their insurance.
When we received our paperwork from easyrent it stated that we could collect the vehicle at either the Hertz or Thrifty desk in Palma airport. When iI approached the Thrifty desk the operative Rita advised that I couldnt collect it here (despite wearing Hertz labelled clothing). I showed her the paper work that clearly said that the vehicle could be collected at either Hertz OR Thrifty, be she insisted that because there was a Hertz image on the paper work that the vehicle could only be colelcted at the Hertz desk. This continued for ten minutes of so and she eventually relented but told me in no uncertain terms that they wouldnt normally do this and that they were doing us a favour.
I dont know if the paper work or the operative was wrong, either way it added undue stress to the process.
When picking up the car, you have to inspect it yourself as no one accompanies you for the inspection. If you miss any issues and they are found when you return the car, it’s your responsibility. They do not accept photos taken during pickup. We suffered from this as the inspector at return immediately pointed to a very hidden scratch on the bottom of the front bumper and demanded we pay 225 euros for it. The scratch was extremely small and could not be noticed during inspection or while driving. We suspect they are trying to scam us. Make sure to thoroughly check the car, including the bottom, when renting.
