SAN DIEGO AIRPORT CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

I was very happy with my rental experience and especially happy with the price I paid which was one third the amount I would have paid at any other rental. I received a Kia Optima with 15,000 miles on it and couldn’t have been happier.

Like: I was upgraded for a better vehicle for the same cost

Dislike: At the beginning they told me that I have to pay another 200$for insurance liability. I was very upset since you told that I am not going to pay anything at the counter. Then they told me that I don't need to pay that. That was a relief.The other point is that they asked me if I like to pay 10$/day for tolls so I payed for 8 days and I used it twice. It would be better if they explained how much does it cost each time because I saw on the highway that I was able to pay it on line

Like: Thank you for a pleasant and quick rental process. The San Diego green motion staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be returning to the green motion facility soon and in the meantime, I will pass on my positive experience to those I know who will be renting in San Diego. Thanks again! The waiting time was acceptable, but the staff kept trying to upsell other models. Even after I clearly stated I didn't want to incur additional costs, they ended up giving me a Subaru (there were multiple Chevrolets in the lot). The staff couldn't explain why they gave me a Subaru when Chevrolets were available.

The car was great. Well maintained and clean. The office, when calling to be picked up should have informed us what the name of the shuttle that was going to pick us up and where we should be when picking us up. They finally did on the third call. Checking out the car was very easy and quick. The same for turning the car back in.

Good experience... Fun car, but I wish I had gotten more of an economical car for a road trip I went on.

When I called to ask if I could pick up the vehicle earlier, they told me NO. I did show up early and was able to collect the car. There is only one person to operate the shuttle, wash and prepare the cars so that does take time.

The attitude was okay, and there weren't many people.

The cup holders in the car were very dirty, sticky and disgusting

A bald man deliberately refused to give the car, claiming that Santiago does not allow car rentals to Chinese people.

Long queues, staff were rude and very impatient.

Like: Check in and pick up were quick and easy. No problems whatsoever.

Poor service from mex. failed to adequately explain the prepaid fuel provison. Long wait at checkin

There was one counter open servicing customers when we arrived to pick up car. I stood in line for 30 min. another agent showed up as I reached the first counter.

Like: Upgrade to a new SUV
Dislike: Car in good condition. No problem

The service was fine and the efficiency was okay. However, Avis has a problem with arbitrary charges. The reason for the charge and the explanation afterwards were different. Once the money is deducted, you are at their mercy.
