Not happy at all with what happened. I was guaranteed audi Q2 and i got another vehicle. I booked a rental with 0 excess and was charged at the counter extra fees + 2100 euros as a deposit. We had to wait a long time for the shuttle from the airport to the pick up location, then even longer at the pickup location - lost 2 hours doing this.
Car was great, price was dirt cheap, counter staff were all nice. Location was very difficult to find and it took a long time for the shuttle to take us back to the airport while we were in a time crunch.

Terrible experience and total rip off
Merchants by charging extra car insurance and £200 for road tolls. Too late to question bill as we had a flight to catch, but absolutely no way we drove through £200 worth of tolls! Disgusting and please be aware that this company is not based at the airport as stated!
Centauro staff was very rude and unprofessional. We have issues with returning our deposit. They are not returning the deposit. There was a fuel strike/crisis when we hired the car and it was with 20 percent of petrol. We returned with 30 percent and they have charged us the fuel costs, though noted on the Contract. I have no support from Centaurus on this issue though I opened the case but they are not communicating. I feel cheated and will never use the service again. Is there a way to get our money back - they took from us over 70 euros.
Everything was OK beside two thibgs: the toll device was a hidden cost (1.2€/day) and they only work until 8pm... Has to pay 35 euro extra for overtime since my plane was late.

We got a decent price compared to other companies for a 9 passenger, 4 suitcase vehicle. We got there a lite early hoping for possible early departure for Porto. We received it 1 hour late. The clerk scribbled some numbers on a sheet eluding to insurance and tempting me to avoid a 2500 Euro deposit to be charged to my card and instead paying over $200 for insurance that our own insurance would cover. It felt like a pressure ploy. They were focused on it being a 'Mercedes product' but when we got it, the whole exterior was pretty beaten up. The clerk ended up scribbling the whole diagram of the van to indicate where the damages were. Makes me wonder what they did with the money they would have charged the customer who returned it that way. Body repairs were not made. Ride was good, we did 2400 km over 1.5 weeks. On return, we were pressed to get back to the airport, the young clerk who didn't speak English showed me the credit card machine that the return of my 2500 Euro deposit kept getting declined. It was easy for them to charge it! I couldn't leave before settling it. And I was in a rush. Stressed now. Credit card company told me it was not on their end. Turned out the clerk had to correct a computer code to capitalize one of the letters. Avoidable I think, their system shoudn't have any glitches to return such a large sum of money. It was resolved by a supervisor.
As expected from a global chain, the service was excellent, even though the prices might be slightly higher. Generally, rental companies try to sell insurance because their staff gets high commissions from it. They often pretend not to understand when you decline insurance and sneakily include it in the contract. These contracts are several pages long, and if you don't notice and sign it, the insurance charges will be deducted from your credit card. Since your credit card has a deposit frozen at the start, you usually only notice this after returning home. However, this company was different. When I showed them the QEEQ order indicating I didn't need insurance, they briefly discussed the potential risks but still processed my rental without additional insurance. They clearly explained each fee from the deposit. It's indeed commendable.
The offsite pickup went smoothly, rental agent I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Additional insurance was suggested but without pressure. Drop off location only 10 minutes from Lisbon airport but can be tricky to find on return. Drop off process was very excellent, check-in was efficient and quick and shuttle service worked well. No complaints.

Au final 100€ plus que prévu...
Nous etions plusieurs dans la même situation au guichet.
Le personnel est mal aimable et clairement dans le but de facturer le plus cher possible.
C'est du vol organisé purement et simplement.
Nous avons attendu beaucoup de temps avant d'avoir notre location la personne au guichet ne parlait pas français donc très compliqué à comprendre en plus nous avons pré réservé notre location quel ne fut pas notre surprise lorsqu'il nous a dis qu'on ne pouvait pas donner de caution et que nous allions être prélevé de 200€ enfin bref n'ayant pas totalement compris je dirais juste que cette expérience n'était pas très concluante

wheni went to collect the car i told them about scratches which they wouldn't write down telling me they they knew about them and that i would receive an email showing these scratches.
when i returned the car the incoming person said that there were no scratches mentioned but when i showed them photos of these scratches they were happy
We can't say anything bad about Centauro.
We had a very long wait at customs at the Lisbon airport, and they still waited for us, over 2 hours past our scheduled pick up time.
The car was spotless, the agents were helpful (make sure you get someone to sign off on your papers before you leave).
Our first hotel we stayed at was awful, and during the night, one of the many drunk guests jumped on the hood of the car, denting it, and putting a dent in the side as well. We called Centauro right away to let them know what happened, and they marked it in our file. The car was still drivable, so we continued on our trip.
When we returned the car, the agents weren't even aware of what had happened, but took a look over everything, asked us a few questions, and ultimately did not charge us for the dents.
We had purchased third party insurance anyways, so we weren't worried, just annoyed that we would have to go through the hassle. But the Cantauro agents were very understanding, and extremely kind.
We would recommend them to everyone!
Le blocage de la caution n'est pas possible avec une carte VISA et entraine le paiement obligatoire de 130€ supplémentaires. Les autres clients français se faisaient aussi avoir.
Pratique malhonnête
Attention a ne surtout pas réservé de voiture! C'est un attrape touristes 1 chance sur 2 qui vous demande de payer des frais supplémentaires et je parle pas de 50€ de plus, pour ma part les frais supplémentaires se sont élevé a 360€ !! Il m'ont harcelé et racketté a plusieurs reprises en me disant mots pour mots "sois tu paye sois t'a pas de voiture. "
Au final je me suis retrouvé a la rue dans un pays que je connais pas a 1h du matin!!

Je fais par de mon expérience et je vous conseille vivement de réserver sur Sixt ou directement a l'aéroport de la destination choisie, prix bas avec aucun rackette !

please have picture of the car ready showing all damaged (and not damaged) places at the time of rental. The underage boy who was checking the car wasn't taking pictures at the time or rental, only scrapping some marks on printed paper which then was presented as a proof, although both sides were marked I was said that one of the scratches was new. I didn't have time or energy to argue, but I'm not going to use your agency or recommend it to anyone to use it.

Terrible. They didn’t tell us that apparently you need some sort of box / tag in the car to pass certain roads. There are no signs at all on the roads and absolutely no way you would have a clue you need this tag and where.
