Small rental shop with good value. The car had 50,000 kilometers on it. There were many small cars available. There was a long queue when picking up the car, but no queue when returning it.
Not an airport rental company at all, no counter, had to wait 40 minutes for a pickup call to take us to a small hotel in a neighboring village which had a tiny counter.
The car was fine - a Fiat Panda. I'm 6' 2" and I was surprised by how comfortable I was. The check-in and check-out process at the Rome airport was smooth - Viola, who helped us at both ends, was awesome.

I was expecting a 2 door stick shift and got a 4 door automatic. Quite happy about that. Both the pick-up and drop-off sales reps were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I waited at pick-up was that we were third n line.
