They intentionally register the pickup time earlier and the return time later to charge extra fees. Their attitude is poor, treating Asians and locals differently.
Due to the airport location being fully booked, we had to pick up the car at an off-airport location that required a shuttle. The shuttle driver was very rude and lacked any sense of service. After picking up the car, he wouldn't let us stop in front of the office to load our luggage because it would block other passengers. He made us move to the parking lot, not considering that we had a lot of luggage and were traveling with elderly and young people.
There was a bit of confusion as there is also an Europcar office at the airport, so we were there first, they were really unfriendly and didn't want to give us anything until we had our European driving-license translated. However the office that we eventually had hired, was super customer focussed and once you figured out where they are, it is very easy. There is a gas-station nearby and the shuttle bus goes frequently. I would definitely hire with them again only when it is the off-airport location not the airport site!
I needed some advice on how the car functioned. On/off process , handbrake , fuel access. This would have helped.
