The lady who served me at Europcar was great! The car seat I requested as an extra was not noted in our booking, I showed her a previous email with the booking and the quoted price which was also wrong and she fixed it all up for us.

Ladies at the rental counter were very helpful and helpful. The off-site rental shuttle was a bit difficult to locate at first. The driver was very nice. At the counter the site was very busy with various rental agencies. And it was a busy site, and there was a minor confusion which car we were to receive. It all worked out though.
There was missing Information concerning the toll roads in AU. I could not find anything within the contract nor on the website, so I needed to contact customer service to determine if the car contained a toll transponder, which it did. This was confirmed by the ladies at the rental counter, which was reassuring.
Also, I turned the car in 2-days early, but it was unclear whether I would receive any funds back. The attendant at the return lot indicated that I would, but have not seen any action on my account.

Service was slow, there were two counters but even though there was congestion, one counter was unattended because the representative was on a lunch break. When it was our time, we were asked to allow another customer before since she started her pick-up process but had a problem with the payment. So she was delayed because of a problem caused by her but then the salesman also delayed us because of it which is poor service.

There was a bit of confusion as there is also an Europcar office at the airport, so we were there first, they were really unfriendly and didn't want to give us anything until we had our European driving-license translated. However the office that we eventually had hired, was super customer focussed and once you figured out where they are, it is very easy. There is a gas-station nearby and the shuttle bus goes frequently. I would definitely hire with them again only when it is the off-airport location not the airport site!

We were hoping to get a Toyota Kluger but got an Isuzu MUX instead which has less trunk space. The car was quite new with 5000 km mileage. The off airport pickup counter was a 5 minute drive with the shuttle bus. It took me a long time to reach the branch by phone when i wanted to ask for directions to the shuttle bus pickup point. It took us nearly an hour to get to the pickup counter and get our car. Returning the car in Sydney airport was super fast.

We waited a little while for the staff who appeared extremely disorganised to work through the queue of people. We were provided information over the phone which was then contradicted by counterstaff. The pick up of the car was relatively easy from there apart from having to navigate down several empty floors of a multi storey car park to get out! However drop off was terrible (afterhours) - couldn't get into the car park to leave the car and the courtesy bus promised to the airport was not available and we had to use Uber!!

It took more than three weeks of back-and-forth communication, including sending information and photos, and it still hasn't been resolved. I was delayed at customs for several hours, and my phone was confiscated, which prevented me from contacting the rental company. By the time I arrived, the car I had booked was given to someone else. I paid in full; why couldn't they hold the car for me? I ended up with a 5-seater instead of the 7-seater I reserved. Later, after returning the car, my credit card was charged every day, each time for about ten dollars. I've been asking customer service for four days, but no response from the rental company. If these are toll fees, why weren't the other two cars I rented, which took the same routes, charged daily? This rental company is really unreliable.

Due to the airport location being fully booked, we had to pick up the car at an off-airport location that required a shuttle. The shuttle driver was very rude and lacked any sense of service. After picking up the car, he wouldn't let us stop in front of the office to load our luggage because it would block other passengers. He made us move to the parking lot, not considering that we had a lot of luggage and were traveling with elderly and young people.

The main issues were with the store. Firstly, the store's location was difficult to find, and their phone was unreachable when we tried to pick up the car. Secondly, the directions mentioned a parking lot, Jetport Airport Parking, which didn't exist. Finally, we had to ask the airport store staff to help contact them, which wasted at least an hour! Additionally, after picking up the car, we noticed damage to the grill, which the staff didn't inform us about (it could have been intentional). Thankfully, I took photos during the inspection, and when returning the car, the store didn't say anything about it.

Upon exiting the airport hall, we couldn't find where the shuttle pick-up point was. There was neither a route guide provided by the platform nor a sign for the shuttle bus. For first-time visitors, this is an impossible task. We ended up seeking help from the Europcar airport store, and they assigned a staff member to help us search the airport (since they also weren't sure about the exact location. We had to call the store, and they informed us that we had missed the previous shuttle and advised us to wait for the next one). The problem was that after we deplaned, we tried several times to contact the store using the phone number provided by the platform, but the customer service didn't answer, making the process very difficult.
