The service was satisfactory. I specifically requested a manual transmission car, but they gave me an automatic. I thought it was a free upgrade, but it ended up costing me over 3000 more.
Europcar had long lines both times, and the process was very slow. Some customers ahead were dissatisfied and interrupted the staff to make jokes. When the staff got upset, they walked away and stopped serving. The upselling was quite persistent; they kept trying to sell an EQC upgrade, and when declined, they pushed insurance instead. After refusing both, their attitude turned sour. Previously, they charged a deposit of 250, but this time they demanded 700, which might be related to rejecting the upsell.
Take long time to pickup cars because the service personnel persuade to upgrade and cross sell insurance. The car also have few scratches on bumper and fenders during my pickup.
Customer service at pickup was dreadful. Wasted over an hour. Tyre pressure warning after driving for 10 minutes, had to deal with this myself after ringing the incident line. Not a good experience and have registered a complaint.
