I booked an Audi A4 but was given an Audi Q2. The same thing happened during my last car rental in Rome: I booked an SUV and got an Audi A4. The trunk could only fit two 26-inch suitcases by folding down one of the rear seats, but fortunately, there was only one passenger in the back. The diesel car did save me about 15% on fuel, but its condition was terrible—the right rear door was dented, the right rear fender was detached, and there were scratches all over the vehicle. Parking it anywhere could make it look like it had been in a collision. At return, the car rental staff just did a quick check and cleared it. During the rental process, the staff was very polite. I guess this rental company will be my only choice when renting cars in Europe in the future.
When I got there to pick up the car, they told me they didn't accept the translated version of the Chinese driver's license. After negotiating for two hours without any results, Zuzuche urgently helped me book another car. I am currently negotiating this issue with Zuzuche after returning home.
Terrible! I emphasized many times that I didn't need insurance since I had already bought it in my home country! They still insisted that because I was under 25, I had to buy an additional young driver insurance! The communication was difficult as everything was in Italian! Even though I showed them the entire policy from the rental platform stating I didn't need insurance, they forced it on me! When I contacted the rental platform later, I found out I was forced into buying it. What was the point of purchasing the insurance back home? Just to waste money? They even switched my car.
Speed and efficiency are always the strengths of these international rental car companies, especially with drop-offs taking just one minute to complete. However, I bought a super insurance from QEEQ, which the rental car company was unaware of. They strongly recommended I purchase their damage waiver insurance, and in the end, I bought an additional insurance for 16 euros per day.
Car wasn’t ready on arrival even though I was on time so had to wait 30 minutes longer than I should have but after that everything went smoothly.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Very easy to book, helpful online chat and great prices.
