CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON FOX RENT A CAR IN SAN FRANCISCO

The wait time was a bit long, but the staff's explanations were thorough. The process was simple and convenient. The price differed somewhat from the online quotes in our country, mainly due to insurance.

Waited for a while during renting process. The biggest issue was that there was no indication at reservation time that basic legally required insurance was not included in the rental rate. This was not being transparent on the part of both easyrentcars and Fox rent a car. Hence, I had to pay a lot more during rental for insurance which made this a much more expensive rental than I thought it would be. Very disappointing experience and non transparent rate display during search and reservation time. The cost of extending the reservation by a day was very exorbitant.

When we arrived at the rental counter there were three agents on duty but two left to go on break. before we got to the head of the line. We waited about 30 minutes to be served because the agent was trying to get the people ahead of to buy extra insurance coverage, as well as prepaying tolls and gas. I realize that agents need a break and that they make money by up-selling but when there's only one agent and a fairly substantial line it would be nice if they would forego the extra commission to get people going. As it is I will not rent from Fox again. I'll pay the extra to go with a major rental car company.

Easy to use and cheaper than the rest. I'll use Easy again.

Wait time was more an hour to pick up the car i received, the staff tried to upsell everyone over and over again. Car I ordered was unavailable. Return area has no carts to help getting luggage to terminal. Staff is at Fox is generally disinterested. Will never rent from Fox again.

counter staff getting the car was fine. Dropping off the guy was rude and didnt listen to anything I was trying to say.

Very poor. They provided a low-end car instead of the reserved model. Did not disclose car issues and charged maliciously.

Car didn’t start had to put it in gear to start it.

1. There is a exactly 5 people ahead of me and it took more then 1 hour. 2. 3 hours of window from the booking time and u wasted 1 hour standing in que. Fox rentals need to work on this. 3. Vehicle cleanliness need to be improved. 4. They always charge roughly 20$ more then the actual booking price. Some airport fees n all. Good thing is : 1. Fox rental car provided cheaper price compared to other rentals. 2. I got a bigger vehicle then what I booked.

Very dissatisfied, long waiting time in line. Insurance was added without the customer's knowledge. The reserved car model from over three months ago was not available, and no explanation was given. Promised to change the car the next day, but that didn't happen. After complaining, they reluctantly arranged the desired car model. But the promised discount was not given, and they claimed there was no written evidence. This company is shameless and I'll never choose them again.

Obviously, there were two vehicles of the reserved group available, but they gave us a Hyundai instead. Discussions on Twitter were not reviewed.

Counter staff were straightforward and helpful. But she kept pushing for extras, none of which I needed. A bit tiresome!

The service was decent, not much conversation. It seems that FOX charged $521 in the end, which is considerably higher than the $450 initially quoted by QEEQ.

I made a reservation two weeks before and when went for pickup even they have the cars available they repeatedly saying those are not available and giving for others. They constantly saying to upgrade and trying to make me to pay more....I wish if they could have give available car based on their priority bookings and vehicle class then It will be good and they have given me dirty car and the condition was bad with some sensor lights on the screen
