The vehicle's condition and driving experience were great. When picking up the car, I asked about charges for additional drivers and toll fees. The staff said that spouses are considered as joint drivers, so there would be no extra charges, and all toll fees were included—no need to worry. However, after returning the car, extra charges were applied, including toll fees, charges for additional drivers, and unused towing fees, totaling around $300!
Service was enthusiastic, and there were multiple communication channels available (they were proficient in using mobile translation apps). We arrived late at night, but the service desk was almost fully staffed, so there was no need to queue to process our order.
The service was fine, but the car's condition was poor. The vehicle became unstable and veered off slightly on bumpy roads, making it feel unsafe to drive. There might be an issue with the chassis.
Average. I often rent cars from Avis and have encountered some issues, mainly regarding insurance. The actual rental company would recommend insurance, some of which overlaps with what is offered on the platform. This was something I wasn't aware of initially.
Car rental in the US is different from Europe. First, after completing the paperwork, you need to go to the parking lot yourself and choose any available car—the doors and windows are open, and you can just drive off, so paying extra for a specific model like I did makes no difference. Second, the car's fuel tank is empty when you pick it up, so you’ll need to refuel yourself. Therefore, instructions like returning the car with a full tank from QEEQ are unnecessary, and we ended up wasting several hundred. The whole process is essentially self-service. I couldn't find the car I booked after searching the parking lot for half an hour, only to realize you can just take any car.
There are over 20 counters, but fewer than 10 were open. The efficiency could be improved. Despite fewer than 10 counters being open, I still had to wait about 40 minutes.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
