CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON EUROPCAR AT LANGKAWI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, LGK

This is a fraudulent rental company, don't rent from them. I called at 8 am to confirm a 3-day extension at 110 MYR per day. After the return time of 1 pm, they called me at 3 pm saying it would now cost 300 MYR per day. They shamelessly said the price had changed, regardless of whether I returned the car at 3 pm or the next day at 1 pm, it would still be 300 MYR. This is clearly extortion since they've already charged the credit card. Avoid this company. Plus, I didn't get the specified car model.

Like: Explore and experience urself, you definitely will come again...
Dislike: The car back storage door can't open in front of the front seat. Need to repair before sending to customer.

Like: Overall experience

Despite being a global chain, there was no counter at the airport, and only three staff members who didn't speak Chinese and had heavy English accents, making it hard to understand what they were saying.

Acceptable

Like: I like that the staff was around to receive the car when we pull up to the drop off area.
Dislike: We had difficulty locating for EasyRentCar counter/contact person. Then we walk up to someone with Europcar and only to find out that they are the same people/company.

Europcar do don’t have a counter at Langkawi airport. It’s a metre and greet service. This is fine if coming off a flight, but not (like us) who decide to rent half way through our stay and want to collect from the airport as it’s convenient when dropping off and flying out. A call to Europcar on the rental agreement, soon resolved the issue of them not having a desk at the airport.
