The service attitude was quite enthusiastic, and the car condition was good! However, the staff's English was not very good, making communication a bit difficult.
The waiting time was acceptable and the explanation was clear. However, no one helped us install the child seat, so we spent a lot of time on that. We sought their help, but they were short-staffed and couldn't assist.
The car rental office said we couldn't use credit cards with magnetic strips, only those with chips were allowed, but they never informed us of this requirement. Therefore, they rejected my husband's card with a magnetic strip. When I used my chip card to secure the rental for my husband, they insisted on charging over 300 dollars to make me a co-renter. Otherwise, we couldn't pick up the car. This credit card policy is too unreasonable; I've never encountered such a situation in the U.S., and we wouldn't need to spend this extra 300 dollars.
Pickup and drop-off were very fast.
But there were some issues:
-I booked an automatic, but received a manual.
-The picture showed space for two large suitcases, but even a small one barely fit.
-Shifting to a certain gear was very difficult.
-The car struggled uphill.
They try to sell insurance when picking up the car, but it's not mandatory. We washed the car and filled the fuel tank ourselves. Returning the car was very quick and unexpectedly easy.
There were only two groups of people picking up cars, but it took a long time. The charged amount at pickup was higher than the order amount, allegedly a deposit, but it wasn't refunded for a long time. When returning the car in the evening, there were no staff available for discussion. The only positive was the convenience of returning the car.
This was my first time renting a car in Europe. It was convenient and quick. I booked and paid for the car model online in my home country. When picking up the car abroad, make sure to print your order! They won't give you the car without a printed order! The process of picking up and returning the car was very easy! Don't forget to download Google Maps on your phone for navigation!
The service was enthusiastic, and picking up the car at Zurich Airport was convenient. However, if your English isn't good, it can be quite challenging.
