CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON ACE RENTAL CARS AT CHRISTCHURCH AIRPORT, CHC

There is no service counter at Christchurch Airport. Due to our flight being delayed, we couldn't pick up the car on time. The car was handed over to another rental company but wasn't transferred in time. This resulted in us having to go back to the airport the next morning to pick up the car. The staff had a very indifferent attitude, as if it wasn't their responsibility.

Like: It was my first time in Christchurch and loved it but it was sad to drive through the city and there was hardly anyone around. The city is still recovering from the devastation of the earthquake and i got teary when i saw the church still in rubble
Dislike: Loved everything about my trip

Not far from the airport, but the store lacked clear signage and I had to ask the rental company's counter for a short code.

The store staff had a very bad attitude. As soon as they saw I was a Chinese person with limited English, they were extremely impatient. I hadn't even finished speaking and they already started talking over me. Terrible service.

Not enough staff

Arrived late at night, and there was someone waiting, which was nice

Overall great, took full insurance, return process was very fast. There is a shuttle service at the airport to take you to the pickup point. The car is slightly old, but it's well-maintained.
