Pick-up Instructions

The Mint Rentals - Auckland Airport car hire location is located out of the airport

After claiming your luggage, please contact our office at freephone 0800 842424 or +64 9 930 8271 to request our complimentary shuttle service. Proceed to Exit 8, walk across the pedestrian crossing, and follow the signs for "Car Rentals" and "Taxi, Rideshare & Shuttles" for approximately 5-7 minutes until you reach Waiting Lane 5. Look out for our shuttles, which are clearly marked with our company name, arriving every 15-20 minutes. Don't forget to wave to the driver. The shuttle will take you to our rental office where you can pick up your rental car. Operating hours (Mon - Sun, 8am-4:59pm): For assistance, please contact us at 0800 842424 or +64 9 930 8271. After hours (Mon - Sun, 5:00pm-7:59am): In case of after-hours assistance, please reach out to Aeropark at 0800 237 672 or +64274144712. A NZD$45 out-of-hours service charge applies. It is recommended to arrange after-hours pickups at least 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. Alternatively, you have the option to collect your rental car from our office the following day during our regular business hours.

Drop-off Instructions

Returning your rental car is straightforward. During business hours (Mon-Sun, 8am-4:59pm), please return the car to 1/9 Brigade Road, Mangere, Auckland. Arrive at least 4 hours before international flights and 2 hours for domestic flights. Ensure the fuel level matches the level at pickup to avoid a NZD$20 fee. Nearby petrol stations include Waitomo on Richard Pearce Drive and Mobil on Massey Road. Ensure the vehicle is clean and all personal items are removed. Hand over the keys to our staff, who will conduct a 5-minute check to ensure the vehicle's condition matches its state at pickup. Our free shuttle will transport you to the airport; allow 15-20 minutes for this journey. The last shuttle departs at 4:59pm. After-hours drop-offs (Mon-Sun, 5:00pm-7:59am) are managed by Aeropark at 0800 237 672 or +64274144712 and incur a NZD$45 service charge. Please arrange these services at least 24 hours in advance or at the time of booking. For any questions, contact us via phone or email.

Driver's License Requirements

There is no mandatory requirments for the driver's license holiding time from this store.

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that the IDP(International Driving Permit) is only a translation and you must bring your original driver’s license with you.

Ferry Transportation: Not Allowed

Mint Rentals does not allow to bring the rental vehicle to ferry. You will drop off your car at one port and collect another after crossing to the other island. A minimum of 3 days consecutive rental required in each island (If the minimum length of rental requirement is not met, then the rental will be charged as two separate hires.).
