Drop-off Instructions

Please go to parking 3 of the train station for pick up. From inside the station, follow signs to "Puerta de Atocha", car parks P2 or P3 sign, You’ll eventually find yourself in the newer terminal. After entering, following the signs of "Alquiler de coches/car rental", find Europcar office for pick up.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

Vehicles are not allowed to be brought to the Canary Islands. If you plan to cross borders to other countries, EMS service is mandatory to add, priced at around 12EUR per day and maximum 156EUR. Please consult the staff at the counter for details.

You may drive the rented vehicle outside the Spanish mainland and in the countries described below once the EMS is added and must be done upon pick up. The service was very patient. Mr. Santiago-Lopez at the Atocha train station counter gave us a detailed explanation of the car rental details and terms, and recommended a more comfortable model, which is commendable. A tip for fellow renters: there are fewer car options at the train station compared to the airport, so the selection is limited. However, you can rest assured that you will get a car.
