“Bad experience, vastly overcharged. Will not book through easyrent again”

The wait for pick up was very long with no waiting area. The agent who served me did not clearly explain the rental agreement and I was wrongly charged 350 euros more that what I was expecting as additional extras were added without explanation. Agent at the drop off was sympathetic to my circumstances, but unable to help.
The first car they tried to give us was a VW Golf that was in very bad condition and we refused to take it. It would have been impossible to list and note all of the damage to that vehicle inside and out. They then found us a Fiat that had just been returned, cleaned it and let us have that, so the problem was solved with 30 minutes wasted. They should not have cars like the Golf on their fleet as it was very much below standard.

The car is okey, but the pick up isn’t at the airport, you have to wait for a van to pick you up and take you somewhere else, which made our drop off very complicated because we were far from the airport.
From landing at Faro I couldn’t find the location of AIRAUTO I was told that the pickup point was on terminal, it wasn’t. Long delay in checkout of car, very rude and impatient staff, briefly looked at car quality and every panel of the car was in poor conditions and was scuffed also inside of car was smelly. I would NOT use or recommend this company to others.
Went to Inter Rent desk but Ended up at Goldcar for some reason.
No idea why, maybe you can explain?
Service and car were fine, just need to know why I ended up at Goldcar when I booked a Rhodium car through Inter Rent?!?!
Only comment is as the rental office is off airport need clear direction /assistance on how get car back to rental site and useful if client asks for help on arrival for onward travel. Staff were not helpful, I was told there was sat nav in the car , but found it a nightmare to use and I had no proper address for return journey to input . Something as simple as having the rental site saved as a favourite on the sat nav ? Or if client has address for onward location , shown how to use dat nav if going to use it when travelling ...It dies cause me some worry while I was away ., but good car , price and general service. It has made me think I’d rather have an on-site pickup at airport , no stress on getting lost and motorway fines.

Il a fallu attendre aller-retour de la navette, suite aux nombres de réservations ( 2 voitures avec 7 personnes, puis 3 voitures avec 8 ou 9 personnes).

On pick up drive on holidays wanted a deposit of €2100. There was no mention of this when booking through easy rent cars, only when my booking was completed. I also paid for the collision damage waiver when booking so I was a bit surprised to find I had to pay the €2100 deposit to cover any damages to the vehicle! Drive on holidays then try to get you to take out their damage waiver when picking up the vehicle despite the fact that I have already purchased a damage waiver through easy rent cars.
When returning the vehicle I was charged an additional €30 to drop the vehicle off before 8:00am. There was no mention of this during booking or vehicle pick up.

Nous recommandons de prendre des photos de chaque rayures et partie abîmée du véhicule. A la prise en charge du véhicule nous étions seuls pour faire son état des lieux alors que pour la restitution du véhicule une personne de la société de location était bien présente. Ils ont tenté de nous imputer la responsabilité sur une cassure du par-choc avant pourtant mentionnée sur l'état des lieux d'origine.

The car was smaller than expected as we ordered a 5 door and were given a small 2 door. The wait for the shuttle service was so long (over 1 hour) that we got a taxi from the airport to the car hire location. We then waited over 40 minutes at the service counter to be seen by a member of their bit so helpful staff. Overall a poor service from Centauro
Terrible service and will not be booking with them again. We arrived around 11pm and it took nearly 1.5 hours to be served, we had a 2 year old who had to wait there whilst he was really tired. I do not expect to have service like this.
