The car Renault Clio was exactly what I needed for a week. It was clean and reliable. The staff at Drive on Holidays were friendly and helpful. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.

The booking process was incredibly easy and I got exactly what I was looking for for a very good price.
Took far too long to pick up car. Had to wait to have car inspected as didn’t take insurance and was 9 other customers waiting to do the same. Car was covered in scratches that weren’t logged. Terrible process.
It was hard to find the staff at the airport for the shuttle to the car hire compound. The car was very scratched, dented, scraped. Service from staff was good.
The biggest disappointment is not necessarily with OK Car Rentals, it's with the signing in the airport. WE could find the K+F (Kiss and Fly) zone as it's not signposted. We ended up at Parking zone 4 who directed us back to the main building and the covered area which we now understand is the K+F area. You need a better way to describe where the driver will be picking clients up from. Other than that everything was superb.
On arrival in Faro, met with a Centauro representative. Directed a 5min walk to car park to get the shuttle bus. I thought Centauro was in the airport terminal, my mistake for not reading the small print. We waited in a queue for 40 mins for shuttle bus in the middle of the car park. I'm 30weeks pregnant, with no seats or wait area. We were also not informed of any of this wait time at the point of contact with a member of staff.
After 40mins the shuttle bus collected us from the queue and brought us 6mile to the Centauro office to collect the car. We arrived to chaos. A huge queue, no communication from staff and eventually a 2.5hr wait. I was just thankful there was a filthy toilet to hand considering my pregnant state!! No staff could give us answers to wait times. We eventually arrived to the desk just before midnight. Got the car, paid for toll tag rental for the week, that wasn't mentioned in the initial booking but necessary on the A22 motorway. You will need to pay €12 for the tag and €1.80 per day. Then pay the actual toll on top of this out of the credit card.
I was so exhausted by this point, i couldn't even argue with the frazzled staff member. We got the ca, took a video in the dark. Spotted a dent in the bonnet. Went back to the desk and he marked it on the form for us. Then faced an hour drive at midnight to our destination, on the opposite side of the road, pregnant, cranky and extremely tired. There were no apologies from staff for the wait, no explanation as to why the processes broke down. The sales people done nothing to speed up the process at the desk, still heavily pushing extras and full excess insurance etc. The man who served me didn't even try, he obviously took one look at me and knew it wasn't a good idea! Drop off was seamless at 8am a week later. No issues. Im still unsure if we just got a particularly bad night, but have read reviews since with similar wait times and experience. The price was great value but wouldn't use again.

I will never rent from Drive On Holidays again. Their business model should be audited as they are running a scheme where if you don’t purchase their insurance, they will find a mark on the car that you didn’t make and charge you an astronomical amount for it.
They sting you for additional insurance. I thought this was included in the price and had to pay more than the cost of the car rental when we got there!

About SURPRICE RENT A CAR:4.7/10
Hired a Seat Ibiza or similar - received a Toyota Yaris, which is more of a budget model than I would have expected. The car was brand new though so that was a plus.
Initial pickup was fine, but car was experiencing major faults when idling - twice the engine fully cutting out at busy roundabouts. Decided car was not fit to drive so once we finally got the car going again we drove back to the pickup point. Service centre were very quick to identify a loose battery connection, and also told us (then!) as to a trick with the Yaris that needs a double-pump of the clutch.
Can't fault the service staff, as quickly resolved the issue. Annoying not to be told about the clutch particular though, as that should have been mentioned at collection of the car.
Car was ok for the rest of the trip.
Most annoying part has been communication with the head office since, where I have asked for some compensation to cover fuel and road tolls we incurred as a result of going back to the collection point to have the car fixed. Very little understanding and no empathy whatsoever.
Really disappointed with this and won't recommend this company as a result.
Well, first of all they never answered the phone when we tried to call to inform them that our flight had been changed and that we would arrive earlier.
So when we actually arrived, they were not quite happy.
Still, we got the car.
But then, they asked for a credit card, which we had, but didnt want OUR credit cards so they made us pay an insurance to cover the "risk" of not having a credit card.
Anyways, the car was fine and we were pretty satisfied with it. Just the employees were a bit off.
Had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for pick up of shuttle bus and depot about 10 mins from airport and difficult to fined when returning car
We were charged another 35 euros as they said we were late but when booking the car rental we stated pick up time 8.00pm and we were there at 7.50pm and suttle bus didn't arrive till 8.05pm also told if we used the toll bridge by mistake we would be charged another 35 euros other car rental companies would just charge us the toll bridge charges so we will not be hiring from Surprice again
Location super hard to find, and obligation to take their fucking insurance because my card was only “debit” card, while in France I never had ANY problem!
Never again with this compagny !!!
