The worst location of all rental cars at LGW. Unfriendly staff, dishonest, pre-arranged claim of damage to the car. Falsified report.
Looks like this false pre-arranged damage claim has been put in practice on regular basis. Unrealistic charge.
A car rental company I will never use again and/or would never recommend to anyone.

Generally satisfied with the rental and return process, but the efficiency in handling breakdowns was notably low, even though I had bought full insurance at the counter. During the drive, the front left tire burst, and I stopped by the roadside to call in the accident. I wanted to change the tire myself, but the A200 car had no spare tire, only a compressor. I called at 6 PM, and the wait time on the phone was quite long, at least 15 minutes. After explaining the situation, they said they would contact the relevant personnel and mentioned that it would be completely free. They arranged for Alamo at Luton to handle it, but the Luton staff clearly didn't want to deal with it and just gave us the number of a towing company. We contacted them via WhatsApp, and they provided an account and asked for £65 upfront before they would send help. After transferring the £65, a Romanian arrived at 8:30 PM, charged £245 in total, and towed the car about 6 km to Luton Airport. Upon arrival, they said all tire repair shops were closed and suggested either replacing the car or getting the tire fixed the next day. Replacement would only offer a manual car, which I declined, opting to fix the tire the next day. The Luton staff suggested I drive to the tire shop myself the next day despite the flat tire, claiming it would be fine to drive slowly as it was a premium tire. I didn't trust that and didn't want to ruin the rim by driving the 4 km with a flat tire. We had a hotel booked in Manchester, and Luton suggested we let Gatwick Alamo handle it. We had the car towed to a Holiday Inn for the night. The next morning at 7 AM, I called Gatwick Airport, and they said they would send someone within three hours to take us to get the tire fixed. By 10 AM, I called again to confirm, and they assured me someone would come by noon. By noon, they said they would arrive by 3 PM. Haven't they heard the story of the boy who cried wolf? We called the towing company from the previous day, and a Pakistani guy arrived within 25 minutes, towed us to the repair shop, and even took us out for lunch while the tire was being fixed. Thanks to the brotherly friendship of Pakistan! I called Alamo to inform them not to send anyone as we had it handled, and they said to invoice Gatwick for the charges. No issues after that. When returning the car, I mentioned the accident report to the staff, and she couldn't find it in the record. She asked which number I called, so I showed her my call log. Luckily, I had a recording of the first call; otherwise, she might have dismissed it. She took photos of our receipts and said the bill would be sent, and refunds would be processed within 10 days. It's been five days now, and I haven't received any email. Watching for further developments.

The car was fine. There was some delay on pick-up due to incorrect address of Easirent desk at Gatwick in the pick up instructions. They could not explain the error.

The QEEQ instructions to get to the Easirent desk at Gatwick were incorrect. The instructions said to go to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Crawley. When I got there, I called Easirent and was told to catch a taxi back to Gatwick airport terminal. I reported this to QEEQ but have still not received a refund of the taxi fare. (The instructions to drop off the car in Manchester were also misleading).

It was a late flight and there was a large queue when we arrived so we were waiting quite a while to get the car. We received a free upgrade from an economy to an SUV. Staff were so nice and helpful. Car was lovely and clean. Drop off was very easy.
I was given a brand new car for my rental. As I had no experience of an electric car, the staff explained everything to me. The time at the counter is always a bit slow, as with most car hire companies. As I hire on a regular basis, usually every six weeks, it would be great if Green Motion could store my information on their records.

Qeeq is always the cheapest. My only quibble is when I book around 6 weeks in advance, I get my price. Around 5-6 days before the hire date I check if price has come down with Qeeq price checker. I then double check by creating a new booking for the same dates. Often it is a lot cheaper, so I cancel original booking and proceed with new booking. I shouldn't have to do this if Qeeq price checker was doing it's job!

Car was great.
I extended the car rental via Drivalia platform
Credit payment was to Drivalia
But after countless emails, no invoice could be provided for me vehicle extension
The car was booked at the North Station! When we arrived, it was closed. We had to go to the South Station to pick up the car, but we were told the car was in the North Station parking lot. We complained for a long time before they finally brought the car to the South Station for us. Also, if you choose to buy extra insurance from the rental company, you must carefully inspect the car body and windows because they won't check the car for you at pick-up. Due to dark weather, they generally ask you to report any issues within 24 hours, which is very passive. Be careful!
The car rental company is great! However, my QEEQ order was supposed to be at the North Station, but their website showed the order at the South Station! Not sure what happened with QEEQ!
The car rental company instructed us to check the car condition and inform them, but said there was no need to inspect the tires carefully. When we returned the car, a small cut was found on one of the tires. We informed them that we drove only on city roads and highways, where there was no chance for the tire to get cut. Still, the company deducted the repair fee from our deposit. Other companies usually hold a pre-authorization on the deposit, but they directly deducted £200 from our deposit. It feels like they are trying to make extra money through other means. Customer service never replies to emails. The return location is also hard to find.
