“Great car and service, but office 10 mins from Airport.”

Fantastic 4x4 car and great service once we'd been driven for 10 mins to office. We had to call the number to get picked up when arrived at Airport and taken to their office, which was not clear on the instructions.

Finding the drop-off was not easy, going round in circles trying to find it, once found then had a 500m walk back to the terminal with large luggage in tow through snow.
Really quick and smooth pick up and drop off. Had a small problem that the drivers side doors wouldn’t lock on the car we where given but a quick phone all and we where given an upgrade and straight swap for a better 4x4. Car was in great condition and couldn’t fault it.
Quick email responses, free shuttle service provided. When picking up the car, scratches on the vehicle were clearly marked on the order. They also mentioned that we did not need to wash the car since we were on vacation.
Like: The sales representative was very welcoming and very friendly and give a lot of useful tips. Dislike: The car was a little worn down and had previous damage on it. I saw some rental agencies put stickers to previous damages to clearly mark what is known to the agency. I would very much appreciate if Budget did the same.
The office was shut on arrival and there were no instructions to call the number to make the pick up. If there had been clearer instructions we wouldn't have wasted an hour wondering around in the snow trying to work out if we were in the right place. Eventually we got through to Gunnar who picked us up. All smooth after that.
Like: The car was perfect, it got me everywhere I needed for the two weeks, it didn’t come with WiFi, but I managed to get one with their help, I appreciated them telling me to get full insurance coverage and letting me know how badly the cats get beat up in Iceland. It’s so true. Ricks are constantly being throw up by other cars in front of you and hitting your windows and fast moving trucks down south. I like how fast they work to get you in and out of there. Dislike: The cost of the full insurance was quite high. WiFi or gps should be included in the rental package, but everything ekes was good and fast.

service was good although not "on site " as I was expecting. I took over £1299 excess from my card rather than just putting a hold on the amount which is something that had never happened before. No one was at the office to take the car back so I took photos to prove I had not damaged the car. If I get my dep back soon I could not fault the service!!
Like: The price cheapper compare with other companies. The staff very good. They upgraded our car without any additional charges but you need to buy higher price insurance. Dislike: The shuttle bus from drop off office to Airport quite slow. I have told the staff my flight will be closed another 30 minutes, but he did not care and assume i have missed my flight. I manage to catch up my flight but i need to run very fast..
Like: Efficient service, no pressure sales for extras, airport based, decent car, excess included, full tank to tank fuel policy, hassle free returns, coffee machine Dislike: No spare wheel or information on how to deal with deflated tyre or similar problems.
Like: The process was efficient, picked up Right at the airport, get a number when you get there and the pick up your care...pretty easy. They'll try to sell you extra insurance which depending on where you're going, may be necessary. We didn't get it and we were fine. Dislike: Hard to locate The Green Motion shuttle when you arrive at the airport. There's not sign anywhere. The van just picks up in the parking lot right outside the doors. You don't need to go where the rest of the shuttles are. Also, when dropping off the car the Green Motion place is hard to find, not well signed.
We were given an "upgrade" to a Mini Cooper, which we think was smaller inside to our original car choice a Subaru Vitara, we struggled to get all our cases etc in.
Like: This company use older cars and price accordingly. We might not have had the smartest car in Iceland but we felt we had a good deal. Dislike: The car was over 3 years old and had so many scratches, dents etc it was difficult to check them all. FLIZZR are part of SIXT. Although in Iceland there is a sign over the door we did not realise we were to use SIXT for the check in. This caused confusion. Check out took longer than other car hire firms.
