Car was smelly and very dirty...

Hertz's cost-effectiveness is not great, and their cars are relatively old.

Our person at the pick up counter did the best she could however she was the only working and the line got very long. When we walked out to get our car we were somewhat shocked as the car we were given looked less than well maintained...no hubcaps on any of the wheels. Looked like it had 4 spares. (See pictures) When we asked to have another car we were told we would have to go back downstairs and wait in a very long line which we did not have the time to do. The car made some strange noises while we drove it and we often wondered if it was going to make it up a hill or two. Overall, this car really should not have been put out for rental. We were VERY disappointed and will be asking for a refund. As frequent travelers this was definitely NOT how a rental car experience should be.

The attendant at the parking lot let us pick any car we wanted... So cool.

Like: Car was reliable and of good value.
Dislike: No problems.

Dislike: One of front tires was out of balance.

The reception staff were average. The initial quote they gave me was higher than my booking price. After I showed the rental booking receipt, they agreed to adjust it. However, their accident handling was extremely inefficient. The call center staff could not effectively address the issues. On the 18th, shortly after I picked up the car, it broke down on the road. I was wearing formal attire, standing under the blazing sun, made five calls, and waited nearly four hours for the tow truck. The replacement car didn't arrive immediately, so I had to go back to the airport to get a new car, spending a total of five hours hungry, missing my son's graduation dinner, and paying a lot for international calls. It was a complete nightmare. The replacement car was a recently returned one, uncleaned, but luckily it was reliable enough to last the trip.

Camry of full size nit available. They tried to give me a smaller car. Ended up with 4x4 SUV which got bad gas mileage. Car had 50,000 miles and interior had stains everywhere on the upholstery. Rental car return was very dfificult to find because of construction.

Excellent service attitude

The car was really nice when we went to pick it up I stopped downstairs and they sent me upstairs she told me I need to go back downstairs so I went back downstairs they sent me back up so I went back up and then kind of got upset and then they took care of it

The sign for Europcar could have been bigger and displayed on the wall as the other are. As it is, it is only a small countertop sign which is hard to see and located at a different desk.

I went to Fox Rent A Car for the price. I was a little surprised to learn that I would pay an extra $11+ per day for tolls or $15 plus the toll if I didn't take that option. That said, Fox wasn't any less than the competitors when all was said and done.
