Hire a Rav 4 for a ford which was okay but when driving the vehicle I had a issue where the car would shack I had to change the vehicle mid point of my hire

Check vehicles before giving cars

Very good. I booked a Ford Focus, but there were no cars available at the store. The staff said they only had Nissan cars, not the model we wanted. There were many Chevrolet Malibu cars parked in the same area. I asked about them, and the staff said we could switch for an additional $230 (for ten days). We ended up switching cars.

I already know the Dallas car rental center, they are in very good condition and easy to find, but it bothers me a lot is if you already have a reservation and previous payments, ID, license, etc there is always some detail that delays everything, either because they don't have the car there or some other insurance factor that causes a delay, In addition to poor staff attention , it's always the same, it makes me want to look for other options in the market.

Totally shocked at the number of people in line for Budget car rental. 100's Waited 1 hour in line and another 45 min at the counter as they did not have a van available for us. We had 6 people so we had to wait until they found one. (which we had booked)

When upgrading you shouldn't change vehicle basics like electric / combustion engine without notifying this when the vehicle is picked up. We we're going to places without possibilities to charge and hence specifically had ordered a combustion engine (we at home drive electrically, so this would normally be our choice, if just possible)

It was a breeze. Staff at Dallas were very good. Took about 10 mins. Once we had the key we were with the car in 2 mins. Car was good and drove well,

As foreigners, we need to be cautious about hidden charges being pushed on us. Especially if there is a language barrier, they may try to sell extra insurance or services for toll fees. We encountered such upselling and only realized the incorrect charges after seeing the payment amount, requiring us to request a cancellation.

Wait at counter was ages

Slow wait at counter. Car was abit dusty. The minivan wasn't available so I was given a 7 seater SUV. I came back 2 days later to exchange for another minivan and got a Chrysler Pacifica instead of a Toyota Sienna. So it's a 7 seater instead of a 8 seater. But still value for money!

The car was pretty dirty and there was leftover trash in the car.

It took ten minutes for Avis to source a suitable car for us; it was busy. The customer service agent was extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

It was not as cheap as predicted, but acceptable

1. They didn't have the car I booked and gave me a lower category car 2. The person at the counter charged me $280 USD for insurance after being specifically told twice that I don't need it or want it. He said it's for a deposit and charged me. 3. The person at the pickup counter kept asking for all kinds of random documents which I've never had to give in my 10+ years of renting cars all over the world.

The booking seems to go through as a corporate rate booking and the person at the pickup counter wanted proof of my employment!
