The car was easy to drive. Before the trip, I consulted customer service and was told that an electronic pickup slip was sufficient. However, I was not informed that the QEEQ and Europcar rent payment confirmation would also be needed when returning the car. I had to contact multiple customer service agents and repeat the issue many times before it was resolved. Fortunately, the Europcar staff were very patient and helpful. By the way, the car had a patch of bird droppings on one side when I picked it up as it was parked outside.
We reserved our car well in advance for an early August trip, booking as early as May. Booking early only resulted in a cheaper price.
We reserved an automatic car. Upon arrival at the airport rental counter, we were told there were no cars available—not even automatics—and we would have to wait for an unknown amount of time. They then told us they only had manual cars and asked if we were willing to switch. Since all my driving companions were female and couldn’t drive a manual, we decided to refuse. Initially, we wanted to cancel our reservation but later decided to wait, which included making several expensive calls to the rental website's roaming support.
The store staff had a heavy accent and their English was not great. They didn’t appear to want to help us, as we only spoke English.
On the day of the rental, an accident occurred. After the accident, we called the store and followed their instructions, and I also called the rental website's support again, only to be told we could continue renting the car. The issue was that the rental company claimed this was the only automatic car available (absurd reason, and the car provided was not even an Octavia as booked, but a Kia Carens). I wanted to rent a local car in the Czech Republic, but they gave me an imported Asian car. They stressed there was no other automatic car available.
The experience was very disappointing.
After the accident, the store continued to insist there were no automatic cars. It's strange that we booked so early only to end up with this situation. If there's only one or none available, why list automatic cars as available online?
We booked with this store because previous members gave it a good rating (9.2). Were all the bad reviews suppressed?
A few days before our trip ended, we visited another branch in the old city. Their service was excellent. They knew there might be communication issues due to accents, so they wrote down the process and what to expect.
If the airport rental had communicated like this from the start, we wouldn’t have felt so resentful.
The car broke down, and there was no assistance or service. They even made us find the emergency number ourselves. No replacement vehicle, no solutions, seriously delaying our trip and causing considerable inconvenience. If there had been an accident with injuries, it would have meant waiting indefinitely. Very poor service, terrible.
“The car rental company's address changed two years ago, but QEEQ's offline map still directed us to”
About Europcar:6.0/10
The car rental company's address changed two years ago, but ZuzuChe's offline map still directed us to the old address. We couldn't find the rental point at all and had to ask many people on the street, including police officers, but no one knew. Eventually, a local told us it had moved to a nearby street. We wasted an hour on this!
Returning the car in Vienna must be done at Vienna airport, which is unreasonable as we wanted to explore the city. Thankfully, a local advised us to call the rental company and arrange to return the car at an underground parking lot in the city center, saving us a trip to the airport!

About Budget:8.0/10
It took a long time to locate the car at Prague train station, but returning the car at the airport was extremely fast! We booked a seven-seater but got a five-seater, which was disappointing. Luckily, we were only five people. If there were six, it would have been impossible to fit.

About RIGHT CAR RENTAL:10.0/10
There are no clear signs in the airport arrival hall, and the address differs from the one on the website. The rental office is not in the airport hall but in the building opposite the airport hall.
Expenses are not transparent. Be cautious when choosing the Hertz branch at Prague Airport. They deducted a 20000 CZK pre-authorization for two small scratches!
The pick-up point is at B1 in Prague Central Station. After entering the hall and asking the station staff, we quickly found it. There were some people picking up cars, so we waited outside in line. We were attended to by a serious-looking Czech man. Since our English is not very good, we were a bit nervous. When it was our turn, we handed over all the prepared documents. He only kept our passports, my domestic driver's license, and credit card. He returned the international driver's license translated by QEEQ. He asked if we would be driving only within the Czech Republic and had me fill out a personal information form. He confirmed that we had all necessary insurance and finished the paperwork. After the procedures, they gave me a booklet containing parking tickets for Budget parking lots, a Czech highway driving card, emergency contact numbers, our rental contract, and notes on the car's condition. The staff was very helpful and even drew a simple map to show me how to find the parking lot and the car keys. The whole process took about 10 minutes, very quick. At the parking lot, we found the staff, got the keys, picked up the car, and started our trip smoothly.
