Overall, it was good. I booked a Passat estate and got a Benz C180 estate. The car was in good condition. It runs on petrol, so it's more expensive than diesel, but there were no issues. Pretty good experience.

The customer service at the Nuremberg airport branch was very friendly. When we arrived in the big city of Munich, the staff's attitude was indifferent. However, the branch was just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient. Overall, renting from Europcar online with self-pickup was cheap and convenient.

I did expect that one of the counter stuff representatives would escort me to the car at pickup and make sure everything is ok with the car and maybe even provide some useful information about the car. I didn't get the car I selected but they didn't promise that, so I guess I can't complain about that. Anyhow the car was in similar size.
