The lady didn't know the rule even though she was working there for 27 years as she claimed.
The rule is if somebody has an Indian driving licence and they are travelling germany for short term (less than six months) they can hire a car with the same indian driving licence with out an IDP.
I requested her and tried to explain her but she wouldn't listen, although i've hired a car so many times in germany & UK with the same licence.
She made me go to the local police station and when they confirmed then she gave me the car.
This whole process took 2 hours and i was so much depressed by all this.

Należy tutaj wyeksponować fakt bardzo złej i niezgodnej lokalizacji punktu odboioru samochodu podawanej we wskazówkach zawartych na umowie. Zły, noeprecyzyjny opis lokalizacji biura na terminalu a załączona mapka wprowadza w błąd. Chodzi o lokaliza ję na terminalu.
Lokalizacja odbioru samochodu, czas otwarcia biura we Frankfurcie nad Odrą nieprzychylny dla klienta. Parkowanie samochody po jego odstawieniu i oddanie kluczyków na sga ji benzynowej odległej o 5 km to jakaś ogromna pomyłka. Tymbardziej, że odbywa się to tylko do godz. 21.00 A co z oddaniem samochodu po tym czasie? Ja musiałem czekać do rana na otwarcie biura. To wiązało się z koniecznością nocowania w hotelu i opóźnieniem mojej dalszej podróży. To wymaga koniecznej poprawy a ja osoboście jestem bardzo niezadowolony z takiego obrotu spraw.

No extra sales pitch, and the attitude was quite standard. However, I booked a VW Touran, but they didn't have it and gave me a KIA CARENS instead. She said the KIA is slightly larger than the Touran, which was true. The car was slightly bigger. But once on the road, I realized it was underpowered. We were three people, each with 2 large, 2 medium suitcases, and a backpack. On inclines, the car lacked power. On many mountain roads, we could only use 2nd or 3rd gear, with the slowest speed at 30km/h. Next time, if the rental company tries to give me a Korean car, I will refuse.

Our flight arrived early at Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport, but the car pickup point was at Terminal 2. Germans are very strict; at Terminal 1, we were told we could only pick up the car at Terminal 2. It took some effort to find the pickup point at Terminal 2, which is located under McDonald's. We had to pick up the car at the exact time on the order because the car wasn't ready yet. We bought supplementary full insurance on the QEEQ website, but it didn't show up in the German order. Luckily, there were no accidents. Adding an additional driver costs an extra 50 euros, but the insurance must be purchased through them to be covered.

Good service attitude, patient in answering questions; fast processing speed. After verifying the documents and swiping the credit card for pre-authorization, they handed over the keys. There weren't many people in line at the store. When I picked up the car at around 6 a.m., I was the only one there. When I returned the car, there were three people ahead of me, but the speed was still relatively quick.

This time we rented a car from Europcar, a well-established European car rental company. We picked up the car at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. The car was very new, and we didn’t encounter any forced insurance sales. Despite our not-so-great English, the counter staff was very patient with us and provided good service. We returned the car at a drop-off point in downtown Vienna. Since it was a Saturday and the rental company was closed, we followed the instructions for self-service return, parked the car in the designated spot, and dropped the keys in the box. The pick-up and return process went very smoothly.

We had read the reminders provided by Zuzuche before arriving at the Frankfurt store, but the staff informed us that the car we booked was unavailable and gave us a similar one, which actually had a much smaller trunk. They did not ask us if we needed GPS or any additional services though we declared that we didn't need any extras and had already paid through Zuzuche. When signing the agreement, the staff positioned the paper so it covered the upper part, which we couldn't see. After signing it, we found out about the additional charges only when returning the car. We have rented cars directly or through Zuzuche from various companies across Europe multiple times, but this was the first time we faced such an issue. It was also shocking that we couldn't communicate in English over their customer service phone line. We will definitely not choose Europcar again, as this was highly dishonest and felt like a scam! Zuzuche also refused to help us further because we had signed the agreement, which was very disappointing!

Picking up and returning the car was quite convenient. However, due to the exchange rate conversion between Euros and USD (my domestic credit card is a dual currency card for RMB and USD), Europcar in Paris charged a 6% service fee (over $50) without prior notice. This is extremely dishonest!

Arrived an hour early to pick up the car, only to be told that the model I reserved wasn't available. I was offered an upgrade to a higher-end model for an additional 14 euros per day, or I could wait another hour. Reluctantly, I waited another hour. Other Chinese travelers on the same flight faced the same issue.
An hour later, I came back to pick up the car and was informed that the BMW X2 was still unavailable. They only had a BMW 216 in the same class, but I argued that the website indicated the same class vehicles did not include the BMW 216, and the rear space of the 216 is significantly smaller than that of the X2. My argument was ignored, and I had no choice but to upgrade to a BMW 318, paying an extra 14 euros per day.
During this time, I made a special trip to the garage to see the car, only to be given the wrong key, making the trip pointless.
They also suggested I buy additional insurance, which I declined.
Overall, it took two hours to pick up the car. Their attitude was not exactly bad, but I wouldn't call it friendly either.
The entire experience was very poor! In the end, I paid a lot more for a car that I didn't expect.

There was a constant maintenance reminder. After driving 100KM, the oil light came on, delaying our trip for half a day waiting for assistance. Eventually, we bought oil, then called the next station to confirm we could exchange the car. When we arrived, they refused to replace it, saying the maintenance alert was not an issue. In our home country, we took the same car with the same people and luggage to the airport, but the staff here insisted that the Mercedes C-class couldn't fit our luggage and asked us to pay for an upgrade to an Audi A4 wagon. Coincidentally, another customer nearby was also asked to upgrade. It seems the reviews about forced upgrades are true. We were in a hurry, so we had to upgrade. Fortunately, the A4 was a diesel car, as I hoped, and had only 3277 kilometers, almost brand new. When returning the car, the staff inspected it very carefully, noticing a tiny chip on the windshield caused by a small stone. Thankfully, we had full insurance. I checked the windshields of a few nearby cars and saw many such tiny chips; the company considers them as damage. I suggest getting full insurance when renting a car. Overall, the car was fine, but after driving 1000 kilometers, it indicated that it needed one liter of oil, quite similar to domestic Audi cars needing oil for long trips.

Very satisfied, convenient, and fast, no different from domestic services. The store is not far from the underground parking area, just a few minutes walk, and an elevator ride away. They didn’t have the Volkswagen T-Roc I reserved but gave me a Skoda with over 3,000 kilometers, not sure of the model, but it was very new. It had a rear view camera, radar, navigation, everything you could need. I felt it was better than the car I reserved. The power was also very good, and the key point is the fuel consumption is really low, averaging five liters per 100 kilometers.
