Very convenient and very fast

First, unexplained charges were made without prior notice, amounting to over 18,000 RMB. The individual damage liability limit is only 15,000 RMB, and the reason for the additional 18,000 RMB charge remains unexplained. Customer service emails go unanswered. Second, it's hard to get in touch with different branches on the phone as they rarely answer. The Christchurch airport branch has two phone numbers; one always redirects to the main customer service with endless voicemail prompts, and the second is seldom answered. Third, after returning the car with a minor scratch, no follow-up was provided, only the unexplained charge of over 18,000 RMB. No detailed expense breakdown, damage assessment, or follow-up communication was given. The claim department's contact information provided by the branch also went unanswered. Fourth, the scratch was minor, and the damage cost should not be significant based on experience, yet the high charge seems to be several times the actual damage cost. This is unprecedented compared to domestic car rentals, where minor scratches never resulted in nearly 20,000 RMB charges without detailed explanation, raising suspicions of being overcharged.

Would not use again. Booked a Prado but got a RAV4? Terrible company

I booked a Toyota RAV4 with basic insurance for 15 days through Zuzuche at the total price of 1355.85 NZD. When I went to pick up the car in Christchurch, I showed the Zuzuche order. The Budget representative glanced at it briefly, then added full insurance on their own initiative and billed me in USD. The final price was 1504.25 USD. You can calculate the difference. Why didn't they follow the order and use local currency for billing? Everyone can understand the reason. After I questioned them, they responded rudely, saying either rent with these terms or go somewhere else. There were other details, but to keep it short, stand up for your rights in such situations. In the end, they had to follow my original order, note the final price in NZD, and we settled in cash to avoid the 2% credit card fee. This experience is for my fellow Chinese to avoid being overcharged by these foreign companies. It's better to deal directly with local companies in New Zealand. Don't trust big names like Avis, Hertz, or Budget, as many Chinese have been overcharged this way. Also, avoid intermediary platforms; book directly on the rental company's website.

Staff was really helpful. Everything was smooth except the address of drop off location mentioned on the card was changed to other location which took 15 mins more for us at the time of drop off but overall a great experience
