Booked a Nissan qashqai and got a Peugeot...was offered a Renault espace at €50 extra....put another driver on and it cost €54 extra
When picked up the car the exterior was filthy and with these add on’s not a nice experience
Everything else was good, but it was hard to find the car in the parking lot. I didn't know the way to walk from the store to the parking lot. The two adjacent parking lots were not connected, the signs were unclear, and I ended up in the wrong parking lot on the right. It took walking outside the building to find the rental company's parking entrance and then walking down the ramp to the -4 level to find the car.
Car was fine. Guy at the counter was very aggressive in upselling insurance etc. Made it seem like it wasn't optional. I had to challenge him to get him to remove the extra insurance and he said "we should at least add the breakdown cover for only €5 per day" and made it sound like I had no choice. Was not a pleasant experience.
Waited way too long to get the car which in a digital age is ridiculous. Things like driving licence etc can surely be scanned and sent in advance.
No chance to review car condition. No one came with us to the car to check condition or to confirm where any existing knocks or scrapes. The result is them claiming an existing scrape was cause by me when we had absolutely no problems with the car. Furious. I have fully comp but that isn’t the point.
I had to wait for the confirmation and the delay announced was at least 3 days and I booked my car about 5 days before. So I was a bit unsecure if my request is canceled,I won't be able to find an other good price.
