I went to a small place, and the car was right in the parking lot. Avis was excellent, the service was good too. I returned the car at 8 PM yesterday, and by 8 AM this morning, the £200 pre-authorization was canceled. Compared to back home, the car condition was excellent, and the service was great. Moreover, there were no random charges or unnecessary insurance add-ons. This might be because the local branch can't see the insurance I bought on QEEQ. I think QEEQ didn’t coordinate this well.
We had to wait in line for an hour, and everyone was very frustrated. The staff said they were short-handed, and after finishing the paperwork, we had to wait another 20 minutes because the car hadn't been washed. The previous customer had the same issue, waiting on-site for the car to be cleaned. They did a quick rinse just for appearances; there were debris in all the crevices, and the interior wasn't properly cleaned. We ended up spraying disinfectant ourselves.
Pick up took a bit of time but was all fairly easy.
