No wait for pickup. Booked a compact SUV, but received a mid-sized SUV instead. The exterior had several minor scratches, and the interior was quite dirty. Luckily, the car drove without issues and there were no complaints during return. Refund of the $200 deposit was processed within half an hour after returning the car. Note that getting the car earlier means you’ll need to return it earlier as well. Picked up the car within half an hour of landing on Kauai Island. Overall, satisfied.

There is a shuttle bus from the airport to the rental company, which is very convenient. Once you get off, you can go straight to the counter to complete the formalities, and the process is very fast, taking about five minutes per person. They simply asked if the car would be returned with a full tank, without trying to upsell anything. The most noteworthy incident during this car rental was that the car window was smashed on the second day, and my backpack was stolen. Fortunately, all valuables and important documents had been safely stored and were not stolen. After calling the police, the officers who arrived on the scene handled the case efficiently. It seemed like they were used to car window smashings and treated it as routine. The staff at the supermarket entrance even took me to another spot to see the shattered glass from the smashed car window, and they seemed very calm about the whole situation.

It was alright. I arrived very late and there was only one person at the counter, but the service was great. They offered additional services, but you can just decline.

The parking and rental locations are very easy to find. I rented the lowest tier Lechi, but it was unavailable later. They upgraded me to a higher tier model. They were really friendly.
