First They did not have the vehicle we booked. They then said they were upgrading us and tried to give us a 9 person van. As you can imagine not ideal for traveling for parking or expense if gas. Not really an upgrade. Then they gave us an old minivan.

Al momento de la recogida todo medianamente bien pero nos hacen pagar un seguro (porque sino, no nos dan el coche aún llevando contratado otro seguro con antelación) y este seguro no te cubre nada!. A la hora de la devolución El personal fue lo peor, hacían por no entendernos, con el idioma, se reían de nosotros incluso con burlas. Nos han estafado y además nos amenazaron con no llevarnos al aeropuerto y casi perdemos el vuelo.

The car we got was a bit battered on the outside, but it didn't bother us since it consumed next to nothing (which is a big bonus with Iceland price for petrol) and even though it looked small on the outside (Toyota Yaris), we could easily fit in 3 people with all camping gear. Pick up was easy, so was the drop off. I took pictures of all the bruises our car had and was a bit worried they might blame me for some of them even if they were not my fault (bad Trustpilot reviews), but they did not complicate at all.

We have had a horrendous experience with Green Motion cars, the car which was given to us was a 10 year old car and on day 2 as we left Reykjavik to go around Iceland we started facing a number of issues:
1. The Air Con was not working- since it was peak summer in Iceland, we needed AC most of the time and the AC in the car was not working.
2. The wipers were not working and this caused lot of issues during the whole trip
3. Anti Mist not working- we faced a lot of issue because of the clouds/misty/foggy conditions where the anti-mist was not working.
When we called support and customer services a number of times, they asked us to visit a garage in Mvytan where we had to go out of our way to visit the garage and the mechanic confirmed that the ac pump is broken and he also said if he changed the wiper blades it wont make much of difference as it was an old car and the wiper motors need change. We were asked to continue the trip in these horrendous conditions since they dont have any other option and would offer a discount when we return the car back.
Our car wasn’t available so we waited 2 hours for a car. When we dropped it off at the end of the trip, it took so long that I missed my flight home and was stuck in Iceland an extra night.
You really need to communicate well with the rental company about the insurance issue. When picking up the car, they pushed for an additional insurance of 146 Euros. They said if you don't take this insurance, you have to leave a 2400 Euro deposit. It was really intimidating, and I couldn't reach you by phone.
When we returned car the staff at the car rental company said the car has a little scratch that even can't be seen it. They were trying to make us to pay for this damage and finally we found this scratch in the photo that we took before. we fought with this guy in a hour and almost missed flight.
I will not use this GREEN MOTION again!
By the way, I saw people complain the same situation in internet..
They are a scam. Aweful service. Would not acknowledge my existing credit card insurance. Forced me to pay more money to get the car. Then upon return charged my credit card for damage that was pre existing. Will never rent through this service again.
Still did not get any official paper about my closed booking, still hola a lot of money on my bank account without any reason, no documents, just really terrible.
They don't accept Zuzuche's insurance. They said if we don't buy their insurance for 2200 RMB, we need to leave a deposit of over 3000 USD, which wouldn't be refunded if there was a problem. Since our previous car rental already took a substantial deposit, we didn't have enough left for the 3000 USD, and were forced to buy their insurance. They maliciously increased the deposit. I advise everyone not to choose this company in the future.
Green Motion is committing serious fraud against tourists. I would like to recommend you remove them from your listings.

My story followed the common narrative arc. Discount rental found on your site that it less expensive than many brand name rental companies. Pickup a car that is much worse shapre than typical for rental car companies (not a big deal since you are paying a discount rate). Do the walkaround and notice dings and chips. Drive away. Return car. New "dents" and "chips" are found - they are often inperceptible to the human eye unless you stand at just the right angle. Since no one does such a detailed inspection beforehand, it is impossible to know if they were already present among the constellation of dings and dents that were on the car to start with.
Green Motion proceeds to claim damages and requires a credit card charge or they won't return you to the airport. They require a huge amount of money for the miniscule damages. In my case, they charged me 290,000 Kr. for two "dents" that were only visible from a particular angle and each were at most 2 mms long and 1 mm in depth. That is close to $2500. The whole car is barely worth that much.
Since all the cars are in rough shape, it's a safe assumption that the car is never actually repaired and the company simply pockets the money. It is an absolute scam. The behavior is criminal.
