There was some trouble communicating due to language barriers when picking up the car, but the staff were very patient in explaining everything. The car provided as per our reservation didn't meet our needs, so they helped us upgrade to a newer, larger SUV. The trip went smoothly without any issues. When returning the car, we just filled up the tank as per the contract and cleaned the car a bit. It only took a minute to complete the return at the designated location, which was very convenient. It's best to rent from a big company like Avis; they are well-organized, and both picking up and returning the car are straightforward.
The car rental company's service is acceptable. However, I don't speak English. The Avis staff were polite but made simple things complicated. It's my first time experiencing this while renting a car in the US. I spoke with customer service for over 10 minutes without a resolution. I'm dissatisfied with the customer service.
The car was in good condition, but there were many people, and I waited for ten hours to get a car. Originally, I booked a Chevrolet, but ended up with a Ford due to availability.
This company is so unfair! Arrived at LAX on the 22nd and waited in line for an hour and a half. I reached the airport at 11 PM... got the car around 1 AM... the car looked new, a red Mustang 5.0, made me feel the wait was worth it! On the 23rd, around 8 PM, I parked the car to go for dinner, and when I came back at 9:30 PM, the car broke down... couldn't shift gears at all! Called them, they said they would send a tow truck and bring a new car to our place, which seemed reasonable, so we waited for the tow truck! By midnight, they told us it wasn't coming, the tow truck company refused the job, and asked us to leave the car and be present the next day for towing. (The first time they told us to leave the keys inside and just go.) They didn't even inform us what time the tow truck would come the next day... after negotiating with the parking lot for a while, they allowed the car to stay overnight... the next day around 1 PM, the tow truck finally came and swapped our car for a yellow Mustang 2.3. Our whole day was ruined... and they refused to compensate us. This was a horrible experience!!!
For a 7-day rental, I returned the car two and a half days early. The Avis staff said there would be a refund, but now they deny it. How can such a company be trusted?
The queue time was quite long. When it was our turn, the staff mentioned they were hungry and needed to eat... But seeing we had waited for so long, they completed our process but pushed a lot of extra services.

Like: We booked three 'Mustang or similar' and 'Chevrolet Tahoe or similar' so they gave us a Mustangs and Tahoe. That`s was exactly what we looking for. Dislike: 1. The car has 40-50% of gas in tank.
2. The employee tried hard to sell additional insurance. It's annoying.
3. About 20 min was wait in a line plus about 40 min waiting for a car on parking lot.
Nightmare! Arrived at the pickup point 40 minutes early, waited past the scheduled pickup time, and was told the reserved car was not available, even though the full amount was paid in advance. Couldn't wait any longer, they finally gave us a smaller Ford. We had many people and a lot of luggage, and drove it for 18 days covering 8300 kilometers. It was crazy!
