A3 didn't give me a 1.4 Yeti. Are these the same cars? There's not even a display screen! Shouldn’t a substitute car be at least as good? They turned hostile immediately when I refused to buy insurance. So cold and scary!

The company's service is good, the procedures were handled quickly, and there are plenty of vehicles. I booked a Golf but received a brand new BMW 318 instead. They did not excessively upsell insurance products at the counter. Overall, I am satisfied.

I specifically chose a store in downtown Zagreb when booking the car and even picked nearby accommodation. But when we went to pick up the car, the store was closed. We had to trouble the landlord to take us by taxi to the airport store to get the car. This information was not updated online in time, wasting our money and time, and we got caught in a heavy rain.

I originally planned to rent a BMW 3 Series, but since it is considered a large car, I needed to have two credit cards. I only had one, so I had to switch to a smaller car. The staff was very friendly, and I ended up renting a Mercedes diesel car. The power was excellent. Thumbs up!

The procedures were very smooth. They changed the pickup location to one closer to my hotel directly at the pickup site. However, the in-store staff suggested buying full insurance, which was quite expensive. The cost of full insurance for 9 days was the same as 9 days of car rental. Everything else was great. The car was relatively new.

The actual price was much higher than the booking price. For customers with limited English, there were many additional charges that were not explained. There was no inspection sheet during pickup and no receipt during return. They just asked for a signature on a PDA screen.

Very bad, I will never use this company again. 1. I reserved a mid-sized MPV equivalent to a Sharan, but they gave me a Touran, which is much smaller. After hitting the road, I realized it was the lowest configuration, which was really disappointing. 2. I returned the car 20 minutes late and was charged an extra day's rental fee, which makes no sense. When I argued with them, they just said it's the rule. Impossible to communicate! 3. The deposit I paid doesn't seem to be accounted for; AVIS said it's a service fee and they don't know anything about it, still impossible to communicate with them. So, I hope to resolve the following issues: 1. Is it reasonable to charge an extra day for being 20 minutes late? Please inform me. I saw on the receipt that there's an overtime fee calculated by time, not by a full day. 2. When will my deposit be refunded? Please explain. Bad review, I'll go with Hertz next time, AVIS is truly a mess.
