No complaints, really good!

The service was excellent. They upgraded me to an Outback for free because the car I booked was unavailable. Initially, they asked if I wanted to pay for an upgrade, but after I declined, they reluctantly did it for free, haha. Luckily, they didn't try to sell me insurance since they saw I was using QEEQ, which already included insurance.

Long lines, waited over an hour, no car choice, the assigned car was not the model we booked.

Budget rental was really impressive! First, at pick-up: They initially didn't have the Tahoe model we booked, so they provided another SUV of the same class. When we saw a Tahoe in the garage, we asked the staff and they patiently helped us switch to the preferred model. During the rental period: Unfortunately, our car window was broken in San Francisco (no items were lost). We immediately contacted Budget customer service, and within 10 minutes they helped us with the registration and guided us on how to switch cars. That evening, we went to San Francisco airport and exchanged for another Tahoe. The process was quick and convenient. Since the insurance covered everything, there were no extra costs.

They were not familiar with the vehicle insurance; they told me it was covered when my car got damaged, but in reality, it wasn’t covered.

The queue was longer than at AVIS next door

I rented a Ford Explorer, but it wasn't available. They gave me a Hyundai Santa Fe instead, but I found out that the trunk couldn't fit all the luggage. They later coordinated a Ford FLEX for me. I've always rented cars of the same type.

There was a huge line at the store, and I had to wait almost an hour to get the car. The attendant tried to get me to upgrade, but I refused. When returning the car, I didn't have time to refuel, and they told me I had to pay USD10 per gallon. Faced with the risk of missing my flight, I agreed, but then I was charged USD161 for 9 gallons. Definitely a scam. I've already complained on the Budget website and will file a complaint with the car rental platform tomorrow.

Queueing rules are generally well-followed abroad.

Very dissatisfied. I've used other car rental companies in the US, and their service was good and fast. We arrived at Budget around 9 AM, and there were many people in line, but only three or four service desks were open.

The receipt and the pre-authorization charges do not match. There are still a few hundred dollars in pre-authorization that have not been canceled.
