“EasiRent Dublin - Awful Experience. Damaged Car and rude staff.”
About Easirent:3.3/10
Awful experience with Easirent. They ask you to wait at Zone 14 in Dublin airport which is a bus stop. The airport staff told us they did not have a licence to be picking up from the airport and that the driver would be arrested on arrival. Took over an hour for the driver to arrive. The desk staff were very rude and the vehicle was covered in dents and scratches. They tried to force us into taking their insurance even though we had already insured via EasyRentCars.com. Awful experience. Do not use EasiRent DUBLIN AIRPORT.
We had a little trouble figuring out where to meet the shuttle to the pick-up point but we eventually figured it out with a couple phone calls to the Easirent people. I called again before we dropped the car off to inquire about tolls and they were able to help as well. However, in each phone call, they were in a hurry to get off the phone which meant I had to repeat my questions because they didn’t take the time to listen the first time.
“Car wasn't cleaned properly before my rental, car was in poor condition, agent tried to rip me off”
About Easirent:2.0/10
The agent on site, Robert, despite making me wait 15 minutes at the airport for pick-up, was pleasant when I picked up the car, presumably as he was trying to up sell me all the various extras. The same individual was a completely different character when I dropped the car off. When inspecting the car, he almost immediately pointed out a scratch on the back-left wheel arch which he conveniently failed to find when I picked up the car. His immediate reaction when I said the scratch was did not occur during my rental was that it was not on the check-in sheet, therefore I was liable for the repair, and would therefore lose my €2,100 excess. The speed at which he went for the back-left wheel arch suggests he knew the scratch was there already. Presumably he is on commission to encourage him to charge customers. Luckily for me, I took photos of the car when I picked it up so I was able to clearly show that the scratch was on the car prior to my rental, much to his visible disappointment.
The car I rented had numerous scratches on it. It was not cleaned properly ahead of my rental, inside or out. The attitude of the agent was abysmal. The fact he attempted to scam me out of my full €2,100 deposit left me feeling indignant. In future I won’t make the same mistake by using Easirent. I’ll be sure to use Thrifty, Budget or one of the other more reputable rental companies. I’ve been renting cars regularly for 15 years and I’ve never had such bad service. I would suggest you reconsider using this company going forward. Clearly I’m not the only customer who’s had an experience like this;

“Do not use easirent dublin airport. Shocking experience. See google reviews for other reviews.”
About Easirent:2.0/10
Never again, this is the worst rental car experience ever, I suggest removing them from your platform as I thought you were the same company. Shocking service, all the scam extras they charge, the delays in pick up, told I had to bring it back full of fuel when it only had a quarter tank when I collected. Rude staff who didn't care.
It took 90 mins from calling office for pick up to arriving at office for car .. then they didnt have correct vehicle , they tried to palm me off with little Peugeot, I'm 6ft 3 ! so then they offered another car , it was scratched and dented all around , front bumper was unsecure as it had a bump previously, I opened the car up and it was filthy , hadn't been cleaned, previous hirer documents , empty coffee cups , sweet wrappers , smelling of cigarettes.. anyway I had to take it as i was late for my meeting at this stage .. I drove a few miles down the road and realised there were 2 yellow warning lights on , and I couldn't check what they were for as there was no vehicle user manual and to top it off the whole media system was in spanish .. also there was insufficient fuel in vehicles..you couldn't make it up .. I sometimes get Hertz and I always get a new or new ish vehicle sparkling clean and fresh ..
I have pics to back up all the above ..
Car was a VW Touran that fit 7 people without luggage. The car had 87,000 kms on it with scratches & multiple dents all over it with a fog light out. It was due for an oil change. The windshield had cracks in it. The pick up experience was awful. We were basically told the online policy to cover the excess damage was worthless. Tyres & glass was not covered, nor was roof damage. They tried to rent us a truck that held 5 with more luggage room. The whole pick up experience was an intimidation & bullying process, which seems to be the norm in Ireland. The same woman who rented the car to us, refused to make eye contact with us upon are return.
The pick up was horrendous. When I phoned I was told to go to area 16 (no problem) only to be told to wait 35 minutes for pick up & if I didn't like it is could get a taxi as pick up is a free complimentary service, then I was taken to hilton hotel 1st before drop off.Girl who dealt with my booking was excellent. When I dropped car back I was told to wait at tree outside, again 30/35 mins for pick up. After 30 mins I went back inside to complain. The staff member behind the counter was not interested when I said I was missing my flight. A senior member of staff told him to get any car and drop me back to airport. I was only in dublin for a day and lost too much time with your service so I cannot rebook with you based on this customer service.
Counter staff were friendly and helpful, but I was not made aware of the a weakness in the model (Honda Jazz) - yellow tyre pressure light coming on, which was a worry, as I had no handbook. The car drove beautifully throughout. Maps (as well as the aforementioned handbook) might have been provided. The 2000 Euros (security) asked for at check-in was a shock. I am still awaiting the refund (I was told to wait at least fifteen days). I left my sunglasses in the car, and e-mailed to ask whether I could get them sent to me (with me paying the postage) a week ago , but no reply so far.
We are still waiting for our money back regarding the taxi transfer from the airport. We hope this is imminent. The insurance was a little high for a day!
Called upon arrival as asked, found driver had left without us as he had no room, so waited 30 mins for his return. then realized why he had no room, was driving normal car! So then my family of 5 had to drive illegally (4 in the back) to pick up site. told they had hired the normal pick up van out, although not sure that true as it was sitting round the back of the office. delays also caused by only 2 staff doing driving, check-in and cleaning.
Drop off no better, only 1 staff member this time so further delays of nearly an hour - leave yourself loads of time if you are unfortunate enough to use this bunch of clowns!
“The pick up process is very poor and time consuming”
About Easirent:5.3/10
The pick up process from Airport to Car location took nearly 1 hour, very poor, as long as my flight. When eventually picked up taken to Hiton Hotel 1st, 15 minute diversion and then back towards airport for car pick up so annoying that Car Pick up near Airport where you start from. When completing paper work for car hire staff advise that additional insurance is required which is 3 times costs of car hire, so not a bargain.Car provided had several dents and passenger door handle broken, looks like repairs are not carried out even though customers have paid for insurnces
Appalling , you advertise cars that are 1 year old the heap you gave me was 3 years old over 65000 miles and service light was on, you tried to sell me add on car insurance by scaring me and swiped my card for over 2000 euros that takes 18 days to return , shocking service, add to this I had to pay for a taxi to get to your site all round a joke , never again
