Shuttle pick up:nA complimentary shuttle is available between 7.30am and 6pm to transport you between the Airport and Dollar rental location. When you arrive at Auckland Airport, please either text message or phone 0064 27 808 6503, or send us a live chat on our website www.dollarcarrental.co.nz and advise the Dollar staff member that you are ready to be collected from either the International or Domestic Terminal pick up location.

Free of Charge:

Towards any New Zealand islands, taking rental cars is allowed and free of charge.
For rentals starting on one island and ending on the other, the below new process will apply. Two separate bookings will now be required Dollar has depots right on the main lnterislander Ferry terminal at Wellington and Picton. For rentals starting and ending on the same island, but travelling on both islands, please keep the same vehicle for the entire duration of the trip. Please keep in mind that the customer will need to pay for the vehicle on two ferry trips. A fee will be charged if the vehicle is not returned to the same island it was rented from. Hertz will assess a fee based on the actual cost of relocating the vehicle, up to a maximum of NZD$1,000, plus GST.

Ferry Transportation: Allowed

Dollar allows you to bring the rental vehicle on the ferry. However ferry companies may charge you to bring a vehicle across Cook Strait.
