Renting a car in Italy with Avis comes with unknown fines. There were also some issues when picking up the car. Every time I returned the car, there were additional fees, and quite a few of them. They never gave me the car I wanted; it was always something similar, but not what I asked for. Overall, not a great impression. I definitely won't rent from them again, at least not in Italy.

The counter recommended an upgrade to an Alfa Romeo Giulia for an extra €9/day, which was very reasonable, but I declined.

When problems arose, they did not seek solutions, regardless of customer acceptance! They advertised Mercedes cars online, but there were never any Mercedes cars, which is somewhat deceptive.

Paid in full 2 months in advance, but didn't get the car, which affected my entire trip! It's a scam company.

Extremely impatient attitude, completely discriminatory towards Chinese people! I hope your company can take this seriously and communicate with your partners to address this issue! Although it is difficult to change the inherent negativity in some countries, at least basic service should be provided!

We returned the car early, but ended up being charged over 80 euros extra. What is this nonsense?

Long waiting time

Picked up and returned the car at Venice Airport. Although the counter is not large, both the pickup and return were smooth.

Although it's not the largest car rental company judging by the return parking space, the service throughout the rental process—from picking up the car, using it, to returning it—was satisfactory. It was a good car rental experience.

The pick-up and drop-off processes were quite fast, and the car provided was larger than originally booked. The car's condition was good.

Renting a car was quite convenient.

I arrived early at the pickup location, but the staff at the counter refused to assist me, citing that it was not yet the pickup time. When the pickup time arrived, they informed me that there was an issue with my credit card and I could not get the car. By this time, the pickup window had passed, so I couldn't cancel the order or pick up the car.

It's my third time renting a car, and this time from this company. Extremely dissatisfied! Make sure to inspect the car for damages before picking it up! When I picked up the car, the person who was supposed to inspect it said they were off work. They intentionally told me to leave, and someone inside shooed me away. I felt uneasy because who picks up a car without inspecting it? Now I realize these people are really bad. I've learned my lesson. It was dark and windy, and impossible to see. When I returned the car, they inspected it very thoroughly and blamed even the smallest scratches on me. I absolutely did not cause them, and they admitted I didn’t. But they said someone else must have hit me and since I didn’t buy full insurance, which is more expensive than the rental, I had to pay for it myself. It’s all a scam.

The location is near Venice train station, about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The store is easy to find, located right by the main road leading off the island. The car will be placed in the parking area in front of the store in advance, making the pickup process very quick. The return location is on the fourth or fifth floor of a parking garage in Milan. Navigation directions are clear, but there's a bit of a walk to the metro or train station after returning the car.

There's a daily limit of 200 kilometers and an extra charge for a second driver! This is ridiculous! I’m never renting from this company again! Also, the wait time during pick-up was very long.
