I am a terrible experience with Drive On Holidays.
1. The car was overdue for service 19000km
2. The car broke down due to no proper maintenance done; AdBlue was empty. Wasted 5 + hours for tow truck back to Drive On Holidays office and refill AdBlue. There staff are not helpful and did not offer alternative and no compensation what so ever.
3. Upsell of insurance by counter staff worth 638 Euro.
The attitude was very average. Even though we had made a reservation in advance, when we arrived, we had to take a number while others who came later didn't. Too many additional charges that weren't disclosed beforehand. For example, adding an additional driver cost 6 or 7 euros, which wasn't mentioned. The person at the front desk should have at least informed us. The deposit was too high without any justification. They required a 2000 euro deposit while other places only asked for a few hundred euros, which was shocking. Overall, a very bad experience.
It felt like an unreliable company; the instructions for pickup and drop-off were incorrect. Luckily, one of their staff had studied in Canada, so communication was smooth.

When renters have pre-booked and provided all the driver information they should receive quicker service than someone who has not pre-booked but this does not appear to happen!
1. When picking up the car, it's not at the airport; you need to find a meeting point to wait for the company's shuttle bus. This information was not mentioned in the order, so we had to ask around to find the company.
2. Unreasonable charges. I used the highway with an ETC, showing a toll of 1.35 EUR, but the car rental company charged me a 40 EUR fine. In the end, I was charged several hundred yuan extra without any explanation. After returning home, I had to contact after-sales multiple times to resolve this.
3. When returning the car, the staff were overwhelmed and very impatient, providing poor service.
In the end, I recommend choosing a big company for car rental. Although it's a bit more expensive, at least the service is good and they don't make random charges. I will never rent from such small companies again.
The company's staff threatened me into buying their insurance by saying they wouldn't give me the car otherwise. They claimed that the insurance provided by the rental company is not assurance but merely protection. I couldn't discuss this legal issue with the staff, so I had to purchase their insurance for 16.5 euros per day.
Although the wait time was about 20 minutes, the staff offered us a bottle of mineral water and actively coordinated to open more service windows, so we were satisfied.
The price was 7€ however they wanted to block 1800€ on my CC incase of anything that happens to the car, which is a huge amount and of course I didn't have almost 2000€ , so the other option was to pay 81€ for the car insurance and they would only block 300€ then. So the car rental price was expensive at the end but there was no other options.

The fact that Dollar is represented by Hertz, was not clear. On the Dollar counter there was a sign with a finger pointing to the left, however unclear that left meant the Hertz counter next door as opposed to a self service kiosk placed on the Dollar counter where you are supposed to introduce your RA no. or Vehicle registration no. and then proceed to the car park.

We didn't get the car we reserved. They over-booked and we waited over 2 hours to even get a vehicle. The vehicle was different than what we wanted. After the entire experience, the drop-off location closed 5 minutes prior than they are supposed to and sent us to a different location. By the time we reached the location, our formerly full gas tank was no longer full so they advised us to drive 15 minutes away to re-fill it and come back to return. Upon return, they over-charged us for the vehicle and I need to get this sorted out. Europcar is not responding to my emails.
