The overall process was smooth. During the off-season, there were fewer people, which meant shorter waiting times for pickup. Communication went well, and the car was in good condition.

The two rental companies share the same pickup location. It would be better if there were clear signs. The front desk service is excellent, and both car pickup and return are very convenient.

Overall pretty good. But it was dark and raining heavily when I picked up the car, so it was a bit rushed. The staff only asked if I wanted to buy the highway toll for 180 dollars, which I agreed to without carefully checking the receipt. The next day, I found out there was an extra 300 dollars for insurance. Careless! But later I thought, full insurance is not a bad idea. Still, Dollar should have asked. Also a reminder for renters to pay attention themselves.

I booked a Ford Escape or similar standard SUV, and the counter staff gave me a nearly new Dodge Journey with just under 8000 miles. The car matched the booking on QEEQ, and the counter staff only asked briefly about extra insurance, which I declined without any further push. Everything went smoothly except for a long queue since it was noon from Miami to San Francisco. There was no one-way fee in California, and the car exchange at the LA airport store was incredibly fast, taking less than 5 minutes.

The service was outstanding. When the car had a problem halfway, they quickly replaced it and even upgraded us for free because they didn't have the same type available. Highly recommended.
