The Portland pickup location is in the Pearl District, very close to Union Station. The process was simple, and the staff was friendly and chatty. He also responsibly asked about the number of luggage items to ensure the trunk was big enough. When the vehicle had a flat tire in Seattle and needed to be exchanged, the airport staff were very welcoming. They upgraded us to a Toyota 4Runner and repeatedly assured us it was a good car. Indeed, the car performed very reliably during the drive to Vancouver.

The car was quite new, and the staff were very professional, but the process was a bit slow.

The service at the counter was slow and not professional. Car I was given was not just very very dirty inside and out side but was making a noise. I told this to the lady when leaving the barrier but she only said fill out the form. Didn’t even speak proper English. I rented the car for 2 weeks and had to leave the Las Vegas. I got a headache driving the car. When I was back in alps Angeles I was told go to Burbank Airport Budget/Avis. When I went there I was refused a replacement and told off. I called Budget/Avis Number and I was told To call Recovery team. I said I am standing at on of your branche and the car is making a noise not broken down. I had to ask for the Manager to be heard. Then an Avis Manager at Burbank Airport helped me and changed my car to one that was much cleaner and with no technical issues. His name is Armon and truly a nice and friendly person.

Only concern wld be able to have price conversion on website for figuring actual rental from U.K. to US when making final decision. I had to leave website to get conversion rate before I could calculate actual costs

Rental period was just 1 day so didn’t get a chance to use piece drop
