Bad!

The rental company is too far from the airport

Two of us rented a car from America car rental and both experienced unauthorized charges on our credit cards in USD and CAD, with varying amounts. Be very cautious if you choose this rental company!

The store is a bit far from the airport, and the shuttle is slow, we had to wait for half an hour.

Not good, hard to find the place, very slow service. It's been a week and I still haven't received the receipt!

There was an insurance upsell, no Chinese service, the vehicle was relatively old and had minor body damage but it didn't affect usage. The most annoying part was the lack of central locking; every time I had to lock or unlock the car, I had to open and close all five doors. The wipers didn't clean properly.

Limited selection.

America´s staff wanted to charged me $150 dollars for a small dent that was possible be done on the road. I declined to pay it.

Poor car condition and deceptive sales tactics.

Good price, but we waited in the airport for almost one hour to be picked up.

I waited too long to get my car and people were rude

1. The front desk aggressively pushes various insurance options and gets very unfriendly if you refuse. 2. I picked up the car at 11 PM that night, and the order stated it had to be returned by 4 PM the next day. The company insisted that I must return the car by the time stated on the order, or else I would be charged for an additional day. 3. The deposit return process is too slow. On the day of return, the front desk informed me that the deposit of 16,000 pesos (approximately 7,000 RMB) would be returned within three days. However, when I called three days later, they said it would take 15 days. This is unacceptable!

Scam company, they force you to buy insurance or make you wait endlessly. The only time I used my credit card, it was fraudulently charged a week after I returned home. They constantly ask for tips when you pick up the car.

The car pickup location is not inside the airport. Despite providing my flight information, there was no one to pick me up upon arrival. I wandered around the airport and asked many people, including police officers, but no one knew where the America car rental office was. I had to call them, and only then did they come to pick me up. When picking up the car, I emphasized multiple times that I would return the car at 4 AM and asked if there would be any staff available. The office assured me that it would be open 24 hours and there would be staff present. However, when I went to return the car, the office was closed and there was no one around. I had to leave the car at the pickup location and throw the keys through a crack in the door. I later called them after landing in Los Angeles to confirm the return.

The service at American rent a car was terrible Rude nasty stupid .... never get pick up from air port have to pay a taxi cab ....... over charge on the price.... drunk guy in the counter......
