I couldn't understand why they didn't recognize the car pick-up voucher we brought. It clearly stated that the fee for returning the car in a different location was included. However, two employees who claimed to be managers said our voucher was old and the price was incorrect. After several attempts to resolve this issue by calling the 24-hour customer service line, we still had no solution. We ended up making several international calls, seemingly to the UK. The representative's Indian accent was very difficult to understand, and it's clear that having good English proficiency is essential for successfully renting a car abroad. When we picked up the car, the back seat was reclined at a 45-degree angle and wasn't comfortable for long drives. We asked the staff to adjust it, but they insisted that 'this is how the seat is.' It was incredibly frustrating, and we ended up figuring out how to adjust it ourselves after a long time.

Renting a car at San Francisco airport was very convenient. Since we didn't quite get used to the first car, we spoke to the staff at Los Angeles airport and they swapped it without any extra charges. Returning the car was also very easy. Overall, it was a great car rental experience.

The rental price this time was relatively reasonable. The procedures for picking up and returning the car were simple. Alamo's staff had a good attitude, and the car we rented was quite new, with less than 6000 miles on it. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The downside was that there were too many people picking up cars, and it took three hours of waiting in line to get the car. Hopefully, Alamo can come up with a better plan for handling such situations when there are a lot of customers.
