The service of CARO car rental company is quite good, but I couldn't find it immediately after leaving the airport and had to wait for 45 minutes to find it. (Waited at the wrong location; the specified P20 parking lot is very large and the order did not provide clear instructions.)

CARO is not a top-tier car rental company in Germany, and they don't have an office at the airport. Their so-called airport pickup involves an employee driving a large luggage van to a designated spot at the airport to meet the renter. The employee then transports the renters and their luggage to the company's location, which is several kilometers away, to complete the rental process. Returning the car works the same way in reverse. The renter first returns the car to the company location, and then the company transports the renter and their luggage back to the airport. The company personnel explained that there were some unexpected issues on October 2nd, which led to a delay, and they apologized for it.

At the company's location, the manager was very welcoming and quickly handled the payment, credit card deposit, and rental agreement. A nearly new black Mercedes SUV was brought out. After a thorough inspection and a brief conversation, confirming the tank was full and it was a diesel car, everything was OK. We then started our German road trip.

I arrived at Munich Airport before 6 AM. After exiting customs, I couldn't find the Caro car rental. I called the contact number but no one answered. Eventually, I asked at the information desk and got a phone, which is how I found the person picking me up. Everything else was very satisfactory.

Caro might not be a large company, as they do not have a dedicated counter in the Munich airport terminal. Their office is a few minutes away from the terminal, but this does not affect their service quality at all. Staff members were already waiting at the agreed meeting point at the scheduled time. The car was a new one with only 3000 kilometers on it. The paperwork was completed swiftly, and the staff was very thorough and enthusiastic in their explanations. The return process was equally high-quality. The phone customer service was top-notch, with high efficiency in resolving issues. The high-quality and efficient service combined with low rates makes their overall rating higher than big companies like Hertz and Europcar that I have worked with before.

The car provided by Caro exceeded expectations with no additional fees. The staff was excellent, answering every question we had with detailed and serious attitudes. However, one car in our group mistakenly used gasoline instead of diesel due to a lack of knowledge, disrupting our trip and incurring high repair costs, which became a major issue for our travel. Upon returning, I carefully read the rental order email and noticed a mention of this issue in the pickup instructions. Honestly, we never expected a small car to use diesel before going to Germany. Years of driving in our home country made us think all small cars use gasoline. If our friends hadn't made this mistake, I wouldn't have known whether we would have made the same error on our first refuel. The thought still worries me! It would be great if the rental staff could spend a minute to show us the fuel type by opening the fuel cap, preventing such mistakes. Therefore, I strongly suggest including a note about fuel type during car handovers, especially in international rentals!

We had a car accident during our rental period, and because the car was damaged, we couldn't continue our journey. Caro sent a new car from Germany to a rural area in France, 1000 kilometers away, within a day. Their dedication is commendable. We were deeply moved and highly appreciate Caro's people-centric approach. We also recognize that all the cars provided by this rental company are new Benz models, which is excellent!!! The only downside is that the airport does not have a fixed pickup point, making it harder to find.

There are no outlets, making it very troublesome and inconvenient to find. The car provided was not the original one reserved, and not even of the same level. This has been the most unreliable experience. I think I will go with Avis or Hertz next time.

Great company and the car was good. The only issue is the lack of transparency in the charges. I rented the car for an additional two days on-site, returning it on April 14. On the 16th, the originally reserved amount was charged. The extra two days were charged through two separate transactions the following month (one for over 600 USD and a refund of over 500 USD). Additionally, there was a 100 EUR prepayment on June 3. I don't understand why. Such arbitrary preauthorization abuse raises concerns about customer protection.

Overall quite satisfied, good value for money. The only inconvenience was that there was no office at the airport; we had to go to a designated location and then call the office to have them pick us up. This wasted a bit of time, as we waited for half an hour before getting a ride to the office. Picking up the car was smooth; they just checked my driver's license and charged an 800-euro deposit. Since we were heading to Eastern Europe, they gave us a Volvo V70 station wagon. Apart from being a bit dirty, the car was in great condition, relatively new, and the trunk comfortably fit four 28-inch suitcases. This car accompanied us throughout our 12-day journey, and we were very satisfied! Returning the car was also at the designated office. There is a gas station nearby where you can fill up the tank. Hand the keys to the staff, they do a quick check of the car, and then they had me sign to complete the process. We waited for about half an hour for the shuttle, and then got to the airport smoothly.

There was no counter at the airport, we had to wait for the staff in the parking lot. They arrived late, and it took about 20 minutes to complete the paperwork. All charges were deducted from the credit card. We were a group of four with a lot of luggage, so we rented a mid-sized Passat, but they gave us a small Mercedes. The car didn't feel as spacious as the Passat, but considering it was an upgrade, we accepted it.

New 3000 km KIA SUV, diesel, 7 liters per 100 km. The run-in period was alright. The pickup was tricky. I informed QEEQ's customer service about the details afterward. The pickup location should be TERMINAL 2 ARRIVAL, P29 parking lot. The guy waited there for a long time, and the shop's phone was unreachable. This wasn't CARO's fault. I hope QEEQ will write down this location clearly in the future to avoid customers waiting. During drop-off, the GPS directed us to the wrong place, and we were an hour late. The staff were great. Couldn't find the P29 entrance; too many one-way streets. Parked at P20 and found the staff there.
