Overall service was good, and the staff were very friendly. I originally chose an X-Trail but got a Ford KUGA instead (same price). The car was very new, with less than 7000 km.
The return process was quick. After parking the car in the rental company's lot, the staff checked if the fuel tank was full and briefly inspected the car's exterior.
Everything was fine
But a few days later, I noticed a charge of AUD 31.75 for fuel on my credit card. I had refueled the car at the BP station next to the airport right before returning it, within an hour. Not sure what the reason was, but I don't want to pursue it further.
In most developed countries, many facilities require self-service and have a high degree of automation. Therefore, you need to understand the process and location for picking up and returning the car in advance. It won't be like in our country, where there are staff serving you all the way. The car was a Holden wagon, and as the Budget staff said, 'the car is bloody new!' It had only done a little over 1,000 kilometers. The car was very new and in great condition.
Everything else was great. The staff at the rental counter were very helpful and patient. However, the male employee inspecting the car upon return had a poor attitude.
Rented from Melbourne and returned in Hobart. At that time, Budget was the only company that could meet this requirement. Both the rental and return processes were smooth. Later, I received a charge of 16.84 AUD, probably due to a traffic violation.
Well, this was an experience that almost ruined the entire Spring Festival.
